That's what All Might had told her, and maybe he'd been right. Seeing the ugly injury had given Izumi a bit of a wake-up call, and she realized she didn't have a chance in the world to be a quirkless hero.
She's terrified, if even All Might can be nearly killed what does that say about her chances? A perfect opportunity for a ring from beyond the stars to use her for its own benefit. Maybe she can't be a quirkless hero, but she can certainly wield the power of the Ring of Volthoom.
The Justice League has something to say about that though. Maybe she can be a hero after all, just not the kind she'd been expecting. Not a pro-hero, but a Teen Titan.
