In Kaamelott, Volais 6, episode 9, Cydra heard when Karadoc gave the power back to Arthur, and because of that she reconsiders letting Lancelot inside. That causes a chain-event where Arthur ends up succumbing to his injuries in Tintagel, one year and a half after they admitted him. As punishment for his unheoric death, the Gods sentence him to becoming a ghost.
Coincidentally, the land where the castle of Tintagel used to reside will over time be replaced by a mansion called 'Button House'. -
