The portal has once again split up the chain, Four a little more literally. Vio recognizes this city, and tbe people within especially one in particular.
Unfortunatley for the new City of Shadow Dwellers, they are in desperate need of help or soon they'll begin to starve. Cut off from resources due to racist blame against them from the upcropping of black blodded monsters, what's a hero to do? Well, get his hands dirty of course.
Some secrets are about to be unveiled, and Din be damned if Vio wasn't going to have some fun doing it.

Green should've known this would happen. He should've recognized the forest, recognized the grotto where the Four Sword slept and sealed Vaati away. They'd been in so many places, why wouldn't they make it back here?
But he didn't think. He didn't think they'd find Vaati still sleeping under a seal unbroken in another time and another place, where Ganon hadn't baited them into releasing him to save Zelda...
The Four Sword might split them into pieces, but it couldn't be in two places at once itself. And that was all that held Vaati caged here.

Summary
Link has not been himself in years. After splitting, staying as four people was much easier on the mind rather than trying to stuff four people in a trench coat. It was better this way.
Green got to go off and keep up appearances for anything too mind boggling for four of the same person to show up for. He was good at that diplomatic stuff.
Vio spent so much time with Shadow that it was briefly debated if bringing him back from the Dark World had attached them at the hip. Great company, but not tolerable 24/7 unless you just so happen to be Vio.
Blue was getting better at controlling his temper. It wasn't great, it still needed a lot of work, but effort was able to be seen. He and Green didn't fight nearly as much.
And Red? Red normally spent his time in the forge. He adored his brothers that both were and weren't himself, which was too confusing for even Vio to try to explain. It's hard to explain that to a bunch of strangers that show up asking about the hero, too, but Red is willing to try.
