Summary
Erebus was struck silent for a moment, and then he narrowed his eyes at Neptune. “Shouldn’t you hate me? Or hold a grudge, or—or something?”
“Why would I hold a grudge?” Neptune blinked at him, one eye at a time, smile completely static. “And why would I hate you?”
Did he ever stop smiling?
“There’s no use in that!” He wiggled his fingers and spun around him, and Erebus followed without meaning to, spinning once before he realized what he was doing and rooted in place. “Grudges only make everything hurt worse.”
Or; Erebus decided to stay—and finds himself getting closer to the one planet he didn't expect.

“Oh, that was just the Sun being the Sun. It all got worked out, though! I’m back in my orbit and everyone else is back in theirs. The other Earthlings got a short little ice age, though!”
“I’m sure that’ll inspire a least a couple disaster flicks…” Astrodude muttered, half to himself.
“Whaddaya mean?” Earth said, Astrodude looking up with a little shock as he realized Earth had heard him.
Or; Earth & Astrodude talk for a little bit!

Summary
It wasn't often that Triton truly underestimated just how accident prone all of Neptune’s other moons were. Everyone had their fair share of bumps and scrapes, though it usually wasn't anything too extreme.
But this time… it took barely a minute for blood and screams to ring through the void.
Or: Whumptober 2025, Day 16; "I've had the rug pulled beneath my feet."

Notes:this was originally part of something else but honestly I wanted to have this out somewhere.
Does this fit the prompt. I mean maybe? I only realized what the prompt meant after I wrote the fic (and wrote this summary). Honestly I thought it meant something closer to a sudden, unexpected shock. Was it fun to make? Yes. Is it still whump? Also yes

“Earth!” He was interrupted by Phobos’s voice, and when Earth looked at him, he was pointing at him, a look of excitement on his face that Earth knew only spelled trouble for him. “We need swords!”
Earth blinked. “Swords?”
“To defeat the dragon! And save the princess!”
Mars made a sound above him, shifting within his hands. “Am I the princess?”

Summary
He was starting to feel increasingly worried as Earthling year after Earthling year passed and yet the level of general anxiety hanging over the Earthlings stayed static, their frantic movements no less concern-inducing. He tried to maintain normalcy outside of his connection with the Earthlings — he played card games with his friends, he told Luna stories about the Earthlings, he listened to Jupiter’s lectures about space, he did everything he normally did, but… something still felt wrong.
The level of worry he had for his Earthlings - who were extremely vulnerable even at the best of times - constantly buzzed in the back of his head, and it felt like recently it was all he could focus on. Something in the back of his mind was sounding alarm bells, but he had no idea over what; was it something on his surface, or an outside threat that he was somehow completely missing?
Or; The end approaches, unbeknownest to anyone but the Earthlings. Earth deals with paranoia while the others can only watch.

Summary
The rest of the planets slowly made their way toward the Sun, Luna bringing over the deck of cards they’d been playing with as he settled just above Earth’s shoulder.
“What’s going on?” Luna asked, stretching, as Earth just crossed his arms over his chest and shrugged at his moon.
“Just another Sun Competition, I guess,” He answered, raising an eyebrow with slight annoyance. “But I’m prepared for anything when it comes to him.”
Neptune was the final one to show up, humming a random tune Earth couldn’t quite figure out. When they were all gathered in front of him, the Sun changed into his humanoid form and clapped his hands loudly, a bright grin on his face.
“Mercury,” he said, voice gleeful. “Can you bring out your planetary weapon?”
The Sun organizes a competition... and Earth figures out a way to win it.

“So that’s why I need you to shoot a solar flare at me.”
Earth could physically feel Luna’s incredulous stare despite the fact that he couldn’t see his moon; in front of him, the Sun stared down, blinking. “You want me to shoot a solar flare at you?” A manic smile spread slowly across his face. “Really?”
“Okay,” Earth muttered to himself. “Feeling a little less confident about this.” But he set his hands against his hips and continued staring up, his eyes slightly narrowed. “Not right now. A little bit after I give you the signal, you know?”

Summary
Ever since Jupiter was exiled, the Solar System slowly descends into chaos. The asteroid belt becomes unstable, Planet X wants to change the ice giants’ and Saturn’s orbits, and the moons leave their planets to discuss their next courses of action alongside Mercury, Venus and Mars. Earth is all alone in the Inner Solar System, left to his thoughts.
The Sun never took the time to talk to his planets outside of Mercury, only to order them back into their orbits or to organize his Sun competitions. But, when he finds himself in discomfort because of Jupiter’s absence, an unexpected presence comes to him. Can a lonely planet bustling with life and a conflicted star in pain find comfort in each other?
Set during and after What If We Replace Jupiter - Part 1.

He began to think, flipping through his shared knowledge with his Earthlings. He tried to remember what they had discovered about Jupiter and his large gravity. When it suddenly clicked, he sat up straight, horror painted on his face, especially when yet another asteroid flew by uncomfortably close. Of course… Because of his large size and mass, Jupiter kept the asteroid belt in check. Planet X wasn’t nearly as massive as he was, therefore, in his absence, the belt has begun to become unstable. Jupiter himself had confirmed during the trials that his gravity was so significant it affected the Sun’s own orbit, making the two orbit one another with their barycentre being just outside the star, at 7% of his radius from his surface. He shakily looked towards the belt, and noticed how the asteroids were shifting and moving, with some of them flying off either towards the Inner or the Outer Solar System.
