Summary
Inspired by a couple of AUs and other fanfictions.
Earth goes to by the asteroid belt after his attempt on his life and see Uranus there which was odd for the Ice giant as most planets knew that they would melt if they were too close to the sun. After repeated tries to talk to the ice giant, Uranus let's Earth in and the two depressed planets end up becoming friends.
How does this friendship affect the story?
Is it really just friendship between the two?
Will Uranus survive his embarrassment?

Summary
(No summary, just description, sorry).
This story will focus on the Sun’s (Sol) backstory, with bits concentrating on other characters (namely other stars that helped shape Sun’s character) because there is a disappointing lack of Sun-centric fan fiction. There will be both happy and angsty chapters, so prepare for a wild ride!
The Solarballs YouTube channel inspired this work. It will be different from the show’s canon because it is an AU. There will be no ships because I think it’s just weird to ship celestial bodies (no hate, just my opinion). All celestial bodies will also be genderless (but feel free to imagine them as any gender you want) because they’re cosmic beings; why would they have gender? (Again, no hate.)
This is the first story I’ve ever written that I intended for other people to read, so expect mistakes. I’m also looking for advice on how to improve this work, a beta reader if you will. If you have a comment, constructive criticism, or advice for me, please don’t hesitate to post it as long as it’s constructive.

Summary
It was some time later that he emerged from the trance he’d been painting in, looking at it from all angles to make sure that everything looked good. He’d painted all of the planets he could see from his vantage point, plus the Sun, and it was a great painting, except for one issue – he’d somehow run out of both blue and green paint halfway through painting Earth, so now the planet was half-painted and just looked weird.
Letting his shoulders drop, Uranus sighed and picked up the empty containers, realizing he’d definitely have to get Earth to give him some more paints (he technically could materialize them himself but it always took so much energy out of him, plus why not take the chance to talk to Earth?), at least so that he could finish this painting.
“Hey, Uranus!” Neptune’s voice rang out from behind Uranus, making him accidentally fling the empty paint containers into the distance with a scream.
Or; Uranus needs to ask Earth for some paint.

“They’re roller skates!” He explained, holding them out to Mercury, who had a confused look on his face. “Just put them on, you’ll see what I mean.”
Trusting Earth, Mercury had leaned down and put the shoes on while Mars and Venus shared a look with each other, an arched eyebrow mirrored on both of their faces. In front of them, Mercury had finally put the roller skates on and went to stand up only for his feet to almost completely go out from underneath him. Earth caught him under the arms, laughing, but helped him stand back up and explained that he just had to get momentum going and he could “skate” around the solar system instead of flying everywhere. To Mars, flying definitely seemed a lot easier than using these skates, but Mercury looked happy as he skated around, learning how to use them and getting better every minute.
Or; Mars remembers every day how much he lost.

Uranus followed where she was pointing and sighed when he realized that Earth was now at the edge of the asteroid belt, hand gesturing him over as he grinned. He had another asteroid in his other hand, but let it go as soon as he noticed Uranus was looking over at him, gesturing only intensifying.

Europa's face suddenly brightens up. "Exactly!! All Ganymede has done is make me question myself, and I have to pretend I love him, it's all so exhausting and annoying. Makes me wanna date a girl instead," after stating that last part, she covers her mouth in shock. She really should think before she speaks. "You heard nothing, I'm no lesbian," she muttered, in fear that Callisto caught on.
"No worries," Callisto grinned, playing an act that the last part wasn't even stated. "But, honestly, I wonder how he hasn't caught on that you don't like him yet. You act very.. different around him, to say the least." The larger moon added on, looking around at her surroundings.
Though, Callisto really thought about the other girl's words. Did she really mean it? She liked girls? Or was it just some lighthearted man-hating joke? Once again being taken from Imagination Land by Europa speaking up. ".. and he's super tone deaf. Anyways, you look lost in thought," the small moon articulated, causing Callisto to flare up in blush from embarrassment.

“Jupiter!” His voice sounded genuinely cheerful, and he bounded forwards to Jupiter, wrapping around him in a tight hug. “I haven’t seen you in foreverrrr.” His voice dragged on the last syllable, a pout on his face.
“I’ve been… in my orbit.” Jupiter offered, returning the hug. “It seems you have too, Neptune.”
“Of course! I’m always in my orbit – except for when I’m not!” He smiled, nose scrunching cutely as his eyes closed with the smile. “Then I’m elsewhere!” Jupiter’s mouth twitched into a smile of his own, but as his gaze caught the edge of the Kuiper Belt again, he remembered the feeling of being watched, and the smile dropped. Out of the corner of his eye, Jupiter noticed Neptune’s own smile falter just the slightest, his eyes focused on Jupiter now.

“Yeah, sorry. Just remembered something.” Earth tongued the inside of his teeth for a second, considering if he actually felt mentally ready to do this, but he finally just shook his head to clear the thoughts, deciding to just get it over with. “Would you be able to do something for me, Luna? Pretty please?” Earth clasped his hands in front of him and looked up at Luna, voice sickly sweet.
Luna narrowed his eyes at him, aware that usually nothing good came of the favors Earth asked, but he responded anyway. “… Depends?”
“I just need to you to go to Saturn’s orbit, find Titan, and tell him to meet me in the Asteroid Belt!” Earth smiled, motioning with his head towards the asteroid belt.
Or; Earth wants to apologize to Titan - and does so, only for something to be revealed. (Now rewritten! The second chapter is the rewritten version, I left the first chapter up for comparison :D)
