He was startled from his spiral when he felt smaller hands grasp onto his own and pull them back from their clasped position on his face. Through watery vision, he was able to see Mercury’s sad smile, and Luna next to him looking panicked.
“M-Mercury,” he gasped, voice raspy with sadness. Mercury was holding onto both of his hands with each of his own, his thumb casually and softly stroking the skin on top of Earth’s hand in a calming motion. Earth felt another sob rising up from his throat and instead chose to let himself fall forward onto Mercury, pushing his head into the smaller planet’s chest almost as if trying to bury himself there. He distantly felt Mercury let go of one of his hands and instead lay a hand in his hair, softly stroking and scratching with the same motion he’d been doing to his hand a second ago.
Or; The solar system's first three planets approach a fiery end... Earth has feelings about that, Mercury helps.

Earth probably watched Mercury a little too long, because he startled when Luna tapped him on the head and gave him a brief look with an arched brow, one hand squished against his cheek as he used gravity to prop himself up. His other hand was toying with the flag he’d plucked from his hair, a nervous habit he’d performed a lot more recently after everything that had happened lately. Smiling up at Luna, Earth waited for him to speak.
“Earth, you good?” Luna finally said, blinking at him. His moon was a lot more tuned in to him these days, something Earth definitely knew was because of his flying-into-the-sun suicide attempt and the almost-death of his life due to the Moon Revolution, which had its good and bad sides, including - “You’ve been watching Mercury for a while now, and you’ve got that giddy look on your face.” - the fact that he definitely paid far closer attention to everything Earth did these days.
Or; Earth and Mercury hang out as they’re the only ones on their side of the solar system. Earth thinks about how he feels about Mercury.

“Thanks, Uranus…” he mumbled, the instant relief leading him to just completely sit down and cushion himself with gravity rather than staying standing.
“Oh, hey, mate, you said my name right!” Uranus said, looking like (to borrow an Earthling phrase) he’d won the lottery. Earth just blinked up at him for a few seconds, huddling deeper in the still-somewhat-cold jacket.
“Yep.” Earth said, feeling like his brain was somehow working slower than normal. “That’s how you say your name… ahaha.” He gave a slight and nervous laugh that was muffled by the fact that he was basically shoving his face into the jacket-blanket.

“Uranus?” Shocked out of his focus at the sudden voice, Uranus almost dropped the brush, barely catching it with the tips of his fingers before he gripped it harder. He turned and was met with Saturn, his eyes wide and earnest, and entirely focused on him.
“Saturn!” Uranus said, slightly panicked. He clutched the brush even tighter, his knuckles turning white with the force. “What are you doing over here?” His eyes roved over Saturn. His hair, usually falling straight down his back in a graceful wave, was instead contained tightly in a bun on top of his head, the luminous rings illuminated from behind in the sun’s light.

Jupiter was amazed—and glad—that none of the rocky planets had been unduly injured with how badly the Asteroid Belt was being kept in line. He’d always been aware that his gravity had a significant effect on the Asteroid Belt (he’d kept it in check for billions of years, how could he not?) but for it to fall apart this easily without him? He pressed his lips together and reached out, picking up one of the asteroids that was eerily close to falling out of the belt completely.
Just another failure on his docket. One of many.
He sent a careful look around before sweeping the asteroid back into place.
Or; Jupiter overexerts himself putting the Asteroid Belt back into place. He and Saturn talk (for once).
