Summary
When everyone turns five, the first words that their soulmate will say to them will appear on their wrist. It’s a very important day for everyone. When Keith woke up on his fifth birthday, he found his brother Shiro, crying, sitting next to him. When Keith was finally able to coax some words out of his elder brother, he froze.
Apparently, Shiro wanted to surprise Keith on his words so he was going to cover them with a cloth until they could do it together as a family. When Shiro was about to put the cloth on, he realized, there were no words. Keith stared at his wrist. He never thought that he would be alone for the rest of his life. It was extremely rare for a person to not have a soul-mark. They spent the rest of the day watching movies and eating junk food.

Summary
School’s out and summer has begun. Time to have fun with friends, go shopping, and relax at the beach! Well, maybe that’s what other kids were doing, but not Keith Kogane. His mother has forced him to attend summer camp. Something about “needing to be out in the sun,” and “actually meeting people.” Whatever the reason, Keith had no interest in summer camp.
The same could not be said for Lance, however. No mother was forcing him to go or anything like that, but he was going to hang with his friends. That’s if hanging with your friends meant constantly pondering over Allura the whole time. Either way, Lance was looking forward to camp, something Keith could not relate to, he wanted to get his mind off school immediately.
But what happens when Lance comes to find out Keith is attending camp too? And even worse when he finds out they’ve been roomed with each other?

Keith's heart raced as he shoot up in bed, his hands clutched at his chest, fingers digging into shirt then skin. His eye were wide and wild as he panted, tears burn hot streaks into his cheeks. His mind still swam with the memories of bodies, blood, the scent of burnt flesh, and the convulsive pain of lightning in his skin.
Keith was so sure it had happened, that it was real, but he wasn't in space. He was in his bed, in his dad's old shack. There were no aliens, no magic witch that tortured with magic and killed his friends. It wasn't real, because Keith had no friends named Pidge or Hunk or Allura or Lance. The only friend he had was dead, and he wasn't coming back.
But it was. It was real, and now he had the chance. The chance to fix his mistakes, and save people that he couldn't before. Even if it killed him.
