Summary
If it was possible Neo thinks he would have gone mad from this frustrating, fruitless search for his creator. Frustration isn’t a new emotion for the robot by any means, but as of lately he’s felt it much more then what was “normal” for him. No one else in the Eggman Empire shares his emotions. Things are different now. Not just with the Eggman Empire, but with Neo as well. He’s noticed several differences since he’s been upgraded to his Neo form. Not even differences from the previous time he was in his Neo form, just a difference in everything.

The only thing Infinite can say he’s felt for weeks is hunger. And hungry he’s stayed. The jackal wants to say that he’ll destroy them, but that seems impossible at the moment. In his tightly closed fist sat a shard of the shattered phantom ruby. Infinite can still feel its energy however, its power. When his injuries are healed he’ll gather the shattered pieces and restore the ruby. Then those heroes will regret not finishing him off.
or Neo Metal Sonic finds Infinite while looking for the shattered phantom ruby and drags him back to the Eggman Empire. They help each other with their issues and fall in love along the way.

Forced to lick his own wounds, he's demoted to regional manager of another, more public branch of Eggman Enterprises. As he struggles with the change of pace, a new hire comes in looking uncomfortably similar to the hedgehog who gave Infinite his scar.

Summary
Four months after the War ended, Sonic finds himself waking up in Tails' bed without much memory of the prior night. He discovers that, thanks to Rouge, he and Shadow finally spent a night together, after circling one another for years. The pair can finally be honest with themselves and each other, admitting and commiting to the feelings they've harbored for so long. Just as soon as Sonic admits to Shadow that he remembers nothing of their first night together, that is.
Meanwhile, the Doctor is digging up ancient evils again. The team understands the stakes too late and Sonic is once again separated from them. Shadow and team must recover him once again while dealing with a menagerie of threats, chief of whom seems not to be ancient, but very much modern. Sage, Dr. Robotnik's fully autonomous generalized artificial intelligence agent, is rapidly gaining strength, influence, and complexity. Faced with a foe without a body to destroy, will the team be able to save the planet before it is too late?

Summary
Shadow is a God Killer, capable of killing Gods and those divine. There had been a war going on for 6,000 millennia. The Gods demand complete worship and devotion, and no mortal alive wishes to become slaves to the divine. Shadow is part of the rebellion and returns after a battle when Tails discovers another God Killer that the Gods sealed away in a Prison Temple, so powerful that they couldn't kill.
Shadow sets out to free them, knowing the rebellion needs all the help they can get. However, he doesn't know the power sleeping inside its prison. He doesn't know the being he's going to awaken, who holds a lot more answers than he believes.

Sonic's not sure how long he's been in here, if he's gonna be honest.
He remembers the attack, that heart stopping moment when he saw his old enemies show up and that instinctual reaction to protect. His brother was right there, Chaos- Sonic hopes Tails is okay. He doesn't think he'd be able to forgive himself if he wasn't.
Not to mention, all the info the hero has is whatever Eggman gives. Which- isn't the most reliable resource. Sonic hopes Eggman's lying, at least. All the doctor has done since he's been here is show videos of the brutal takeover of Mobius. Videos played on loop of civilians getting attacked- getting killed- by these- these old enemies Sonic's fought. Chaos. Zavok. Metal.

Time isn’t something most realize they take for granted until it’s too late. Despite everything Sonic has been through, nothing can quite compare to right now. The mere idea of it, of time, feels like such a far off concept. In fact, he can’t even remember the day this all began. Sure he knows the gist of it all but can he honestly say he’s certain when he’s been thrown so far off his game. Nobody’s even around. He’s completely alone.
