Cid turns his hand over under hers, simultaneously comforted and annoyed by how well she knows him. "I make no promises," he grumbles. "Who is he, then?"
Cid Telamon, at one time a big name in the Valisthean kink scene, has kept to the sidelines since going through a bad breakup. Clive Rosfield, a new face in the scene, is a very good reason to get back in the game—and a temptation to reconsider things Cid thought he was done with.

Can they convince the slave ring leaders to let them be at the auction for the boys to bring it down? A task made more complicated by a not quite human Clive and his secrets.

Entrapped through debt, she finds herself bound to a bookish man devoted to a mysterious search on the occult. Etro is forced on a journey with the man, Margrace, and his attendant, Jote, but notices murmured secrets they hide, a sloppy attempt to pretend he isn't someone of importance. Still, in the end, who he is and what they want matters naught to her.
Etro has one purpose alone: life for a life, and no Order, no debt, no Branded or Dominant would keep her from it. She would be free even if it meant slitting Margrace's throat to start her bloody vengeance.
