Summary
George's hand finds the door handle, his grip just barely steady as he pushes it open. The hinges whisper, but the silence remains undisturbed. If Dream is sleeping, George doesn’t want to wake him. If he’s not, George isn’t sure he’s ready to meet his gaze without choking on the stubborn worry that threatens to consume him whole.
The first thing he sees is the lump in his bed, Dream’s body halfway hidden under the linens. The room sits in penumbra, the only light coming in from the furthest window to the left, its lone beam highlighting Dream’s silhouette and the few golden curls George can see from a distance. Everything is quiet: from Dream’s soft breathing to George’s footsteps, such a contrast to the hustle from the outside George just knows he can’t break the atmosphere. The world outside is alive, bustling with voices and movement, but in here, time stands still. The contrast is stark, almost unbearably so.
Dream is hurt. That much is obvious. He has to be careful.
Or: Dream gets injured. George takes care of him.

I said if he did it first try, I was like there's no -- cause he was saying he was gonna beat it first try -- i was like there's no way, Krinios sat there for 30 minutes trying to do it. He was like alright and then... yea there was just something -- it was a meme, it was a meme, it was a meme."
Sapnap giggled again. "It wasn't a meme. I would've required it if I had won. I would've required it - the deal - if I had won."
"No, you would not have!" Dream laughed.
"Yeah, I would've."

Karl and Sapnap's wedding was perfect, from the beautiful church to the cute colour scheme to the specially crafted wedding playlist. It was so perfect that it pissed George off.

George looks away, chewing at the inside of his cheek, and shuffles to sit upright against his headboard. “Do you ever get, like, pent up? Physically?” He asks, face tinging pink and eyes glued to his own lap.
Sure, Dream thinks, all the time. Before he face revealed, there were countless occasions where he was frustrated, or stressed, or upset, and wanted nothing more that to be able to fly out the front door and run until he sweat out his worries, to be able to let them wash off his skin and flow away down the drain in the shower when he would return, panting and achy.
There were an equal number of countless times where he ended up restlessly pacing his room for hours, the fear of being recognized strong enough to overpower the need for movement.
“Yeah,” he says, “But we have options for that, George. We have that exercise bike, or if that’s not for you, I could get a treadmill, or weights, or anything else you need.”
“That’s… Not what I meant.” George raises his eyes to meet Dream’s, his cheeks darkening further.
