Summary
On the first morning, Wooyoung had watched with mild horror as the taller served Yeosang scrambled eggs. Scrambled eggs. In Wooyoung’s grand manor. The sight of a fledgling vampire, now his fledgling in some twisted sense, eating something so mundane felt sacrilegious.
“What is this, a daycare?” he muttered, pinching the bridge of his nose as Yeosang cautiously picked at the eggs, his hands shaking slightly as he took small bites. His pale face softened as the warm food seemed to bring some color back into his cheeks, but Wooyoung was too distracted by the absurdity of it all to notice.
“You need to bulk up,” Wooyoung said flatly, crossing his arms as he continued bluntly, “You look like a stiff breeze could knock you over.”

All Wooyoung wanted was to stop the werewolves from digging up his precious plants. But instead of capturing a furry menace, his net snags a scared fledgling vampire named Yeosang. Now, rather than stopping the wolves, he’s stuck teaching a newly turned vampire the ropes of the undead life.

But Wooyoung is not willing to let anyone know he’s a familiar and with this economy, only rich people can afford magic bags. So he had to get creative when his personal quest to be a “witchless familiar that everyone thinks is human but not starve to death” started.

not many people know how to receive love—same goes for wooyoung, too. ask around, most people will tell you wooyoung might as well be the definition of love, and yet he hasn’t opened his heart or gotten close to anyone at all, lately. not necessarily on purpose—he’s not sure if it’s due to the pain he feels, what he does know is that people he knows and people he likes keep leaving him. it’s quite the misunderstanding, really. it’s true, he avoids using his heart when meeting new people now, which makes the line between acquaintances and friends far too thick, the walls far too tall, and he can barely see past them—the people he meets don't bother to climb them or jump over, so things stay stagnant. he doesn’t like to blame the past for his current behavior, but he can’t pretend he walked out of it unscarred, either. wooyoung only has a few constants in his life, people he’ll never not hand out his heart to, people he let in years ago and he can’t possibly imagine a life without, people who make it easy—receiving love.

He inhales, deep and warm in his lungs, his entire chest expanding with it. He stops and gazes overhead, the branches still heavy with green leaves, not yet turned into a stunning fiery array before they fall and decay. They curve almost protectively over him like a canopy, and Wooyoung wonders how he took so long to wander through here. The shadows around him almost seem to tremble with impatience, or excitement, coaxing him to continue forward. He’s glad he came so early, already regretting that he’ll have to turn back home at some point.

The area is spotless now, sand hiding any evidence of the last nesting period. But it's still useful, and if San closes his eyes he can just imagine little turtles crawling towards the sea, leaving trails in the sand.
He's going to write the best research paper ever made on loggerheads.
When San gets the once in a career opportunity to visit the tiny coastal town of Anwang, especially to look into the peculiar nesting patterns of his beloved loggerhead turtles - and get paid to do so, he thinks that all that is waiting for him are his turtles and some of the best fish he could find in the country.
Jung Wooyoung, devastatingly pretty - and so lonely, was not supposed to be a part of his itinerary.
