Summary
Jung Wooyoung has a terrible and at times debilitating habit of letting things consume him. To add to this, every night for the last year his dreams have been filled by the same seven men. Each dream starts and ends differently, but its subjects are the same. Some dreams are peaceful while others border on night terrors. Yet, he chooses to relive them even when he's awake. Wooyoung justifies his behavior based on the feeling of clarity and peace in the presence of the men in his subconscious even though it disrupts everything else about his life.
Then his dreams start to infiltrate reality and Wooyoung struggles to distinguish what is real. The lives of those closest to him, as well as his own, wind up in a desperate chase to find the infamous men Wooyoung calls home before they disappear from his life completely.

The room was silent as he stepped away. Yunho was still, gazing fixedly at Wooyoung with pure shock on his face. Slowly, Wooyoung turned round to San, who had backed up part of the way across the room, and was shaking. Wooyoung didn’t know if he had ever seen fear like that across anyone’s face before. It was a mixture of mortification and anguish. Even San’s eyes shook as he glanced between Wooyoung and Yunho, confusion quickly making its way into the mix of overwhelming emotions passing across his whole body.
The next person to move was surprisingly Mingi, who latched himself onto Yunho’s uninjured arm and patted him ever-so-gently, as if asking whether or not he was ok. Detecting no other possible movement or sound from anyone else, Wooyoung’s mouth worked for him. “Erm-” But not well enough to think of anything more coherent, apparently.
Then there is the uproar.

Once he finished, he turned back to Wooyoung but he was met with an unexpected sight. Tears were welling in Wooyoung’s eyes and his bottom lip trembled. He was struck with an overwhelming wave of appreciation and affection for the two. San noticed at the same time as Yunho and worriedly sat up, confused by his response but ready to comfort him.
“Hey, hey, what’s wrong?” Yunho wiped the tears that had fallen down his face. “Did we get something wrong? I can go back and get something else-” he rushed to say, wanting to fix whatever the problem was, not wanting to see Wooyoung cry.
Wooyoung quickly shook his head, “No, I’m just,” he sniffled. “I’m just so thankful.”

Summary
Jung Wooyoung holds a mission close to his heart (his real heart.) It was a mission that was never meant for him in the first place, but uncontrollable circumstances (like everyone else being killed) had resulted in him being the only one who could do it in the end.
His mission: go back in time, find and put together the greatest team of superpowered individuals from the future, and prevent the end of the world before it ever happens by stopping the appearance of rifts and the deadly monsters they carry within.
Except these supposedly great individuals are nothing more than newborn fawns just coming to grips with their new powers and hold no memory of him or the danger looming just beyond their comprehension.
And Wooyoung, of all people, is supposed to be the one to guide them? (When he had been the one to only ever look up to them.)
And how could they ever come to trust him, like how he had once trusted them with his life (and his death) in the future? (Did he even want them to?)
Just never forget: monsters are always closer than they seem.
