Merlyn is the ward of Uther Pendragon. Arthur Pendragon and Merlyn are chaotic siblings and Sir Leon being a tired older brother.
If Leon, first knight of Kamalot and soul mate of two Pendragons, had been told in advance how chaotic his life would be, he probably would have laughed or fled. It all began a few months ago, when both of them began to think about the future. Something he should be proud of, if it weren't for Arthur and Merlyn.

It was a perfectly pleasant day. Blessedly uneventful so far, which was why Merlin should have probably expected shit to hit the metaphorical fan.
His plans to hang out with Lancelot (which had required plenty of managerial skills to schedule) was disrupted by a (routine by now) disaster plaguing Camelot.
Call it unrealistic optimism but he figured he could save the kingdom and have enough time leftover to enjoy the rest of the day.Rated M for language.

While sheltering from a storm, Arthur, Gwen, Merlin, and the knights end up in a cave with some druids for the night. No big deal, Arthur has no problem with them. Over dinner, they trade stories, and a certain man keeps getting mentioned by the druids. Arthur inquires about this "Emrys." But, have no fear, these druids are quite musically gifted and have a song for this!

Just at that moment, a tall man with broad shoulders and gold-like hair stepped into the cafe, the bell ringing above him just like it had for every other customer.
Except this one was different.
Different because Merlin knew exactly who this man was.
“Oh my God- Hide me! That’s my boss!” Merlin whisper-shouted, hand coming up to hide his face from view. Inside his chest, his heart pounded.
Or Merlin goes out with Lancelot to a cafe to have some apple cider when Merlin sees his boss, Arthur Pendragon.

Summary
Generally speaking, Gwaine was a strong advocate of fun. Not, however, when it threatened to publicly humiliate him by falling out of a tree.
Gwaine takes Merlin and Lancelot to ruins by the sea for what was intended as a relaxing day out. But, between Lancelot needing to refine his anatomical studies and Merlin making an unexpected discovery, it's not quite what Gwaine had in mind.
