“Aren’t you supposed to be asleep?” Legend whispers, sitting on the log next to Sky with a wince that he’s sure Sky doesn’t miss. Goddesses, his joints ache tonight.
Sky shrugs. He’s fiddling with something, and Legend’s ear twitches at the soft shhhhk of a knife on wood. Sky’s carving.
“Fair enough. I can take over, if you want.”
“Bad dreams?” Sky whispers back, an odd note in his voice. When Legend glances over at him, there’s a knowing look on his face. Knowing and pained. Legend realizes that if their resident sleepyhead isn’t going to bed, he has a damn good reason for it.
“… Yeah,” Legend replies quietly, and doesn’t elaborate.
Or: Legend and Sky talk about dreams. And Hylia. And loving people.

Summary
Everyone has secrects, whether their big or small doesn't matter. Legend just happend to have a lot of them, most of which he doesn't ever want the others to know. And they're fine with that, they're all like brothers now so won't force someone to tell their secrets unless its necassary.
The chain has been to every Hyrule twice, well except for Legends Hyrule. And Legend hasn't really told them much about his Hyrule, or himself for that matter.
So when they eventually get sent to Legends Hyrule, let's just say Legend can't keep most of his secrets anymore.

Link has gone through it; he woke up without any memory of who he was or where he was, was told to save the world by some dead king, did it and saved Hyrule and Zelda, accidentally awoke an evil mummy, got the arm of some dead king (but a different dead king from 10,000 years ago), saved Hyrule AGAIN, reversed Zelda from her new dragon form by losing said other dead king's arm, leaving him an amputee and unable to use a sword, gained Mineru's secret stone and became the sage of spirit, which allowed him to make his own ghost-arm and use a sword again. Now 8 strangers are claiming to know him. He is so tired.
--OR--
Wild leaves for TOTK, and after not seeing him for 7 months, he returns and the Chain find him missing an arm, even more traumatized (they didn't know that was possible), and with a fancy new purple stone. But the weirdest, and scariest, part, is that he doesn't remember who they are.

Yet, Wild, when all else fails, won't stand to see them hurt if he can stop it, and when he stops seeing a brother, mind lost to the past, there's nothing he won't do to protect the ones he loves.
