Summary
The trio is back at it again with another summer adventure, but this time a new fish is in town. This summer is full of fun, self discovery, confessions, delving into some past trauma, as well as getting over that trauma.
[Disclaimer] I do not own any of the characters. Disney owns the characters. I just got the story.
I have been obsessed with Luca. The movie was adorable, and I just wanted to make my own continuation.

Summary
Five years after the summer Alberto Scorfano met his two best friends, he’s proud to say he’s already well-versed in how to human. Sailing a boat? Check. Handling harbour market sales? Check. Using his sea monster form to help Signor Marcovaldo collect the best barnacles? Check. Other knowledge has eluded him, though—for example, the appropriate name for the way his heart races every time Luca calls him “caro”.
When June of 1968 arrives to Porto Rosso, and Giulia and Luca return from Geneva with troublesome news, Alberto wishes things would stay as they were in 1963. But as the Underdogs work together to help Giulia avoid the rigid expectations placed on her by her mother, and life in Porto Rosso gets turned upside down once more, he can't help wondering whether sometimes changes might be the start of something better.

So. Here are the facts as you see them.
Fact number one: Giulia is going to be on the train for Genova in two days. She's going back home--because Genova is her home, apparently, and you're still grappling with the idea that there are places outside your island and Portorosso, BIG ones, they keep telling you, all over the globe--where she'll spend the next nine or so months going to school.
Fact number two: You and Luca now own your very own Vespa. It's not road-ready yet, and it might not be for a while, which is fine actually because it turns out now that the Paguros aren't going to send Luca away to the bottom of the ocean, you're going to have to whittle them down into giving him permission to run away with you.
Fact number three: That's not even really a plan that makes sense, if you think about it for more than a few minutes at a time.
Fact number four: You haven't forgotten that Luca doesn't actually want to run away with you anymore. He's just pretending he never said it.

Summary
“Giulia. Coffee?” Luca asks from his seat at the kitchen table, in what he hopes is a pathetic enough tone that she’ll make it for him. Giulia gives him a sympathetic look over her shoulder, her hair already tied up in a messy bun. A curl bounces at her temple as she shakes her head.
“Sorry, Luca. All out.”
“Giulia…”
“It's fine, I have a better idea. You know where the science building is?” Luca nods as Giulia is already scribbling the directions on an old pizzeria-flyer, “There’s a little campus cafe just on the far side of the grass, you know where people sometimes study? My brother works there, just tell him I sent you and he’ll sort you out with something. You'll be caffeinated in no time.”
(Luca needs coffee and Alberto has coffee. Seems like a simple enough equation for something that ends up being anything but.)

He tried to lead a normal life... he really tried, but no matter how hard he tried to make it work he couldn't have even a decent routine without the ghosts of failure eating his head, without being reminded of every moment that had made his life hell, and it wasn't just the Portorosso Cup, to tell the truth, that was only the beginning of the torment...
For many, the heroes of history? For him? the ruin of his life...

Summary
Alberto scoffs and says I’ve seen television, which is a clear indication that he’s being literal. He’s never sat down and actively watched anything on one before. He still climbs over the back of the sofa to sit beside her. He throws his arm behind her shoulders, and Luca leans into her side, and Giulia sighs and smiles, squashed comfortably between the two of them.
She’s going to miss this the most when she goes to London.
But even knowing that it’s going to end, she can’t wait for summer to begin.
/A culmination of some things.

And then Luca’s world slows and he’s turning around, eyes wide, and he sees him. He’s grown taller, his hair is longer and wilder, he’s put on muscle from hauling fish nets with Massimo, but he’s the same Alberto Luca remembers. His eyes are still the prettiest shade of green Luca has ever seen and his smile is still blinding, and Luca has to remind himself to take a breath.
Or; After a long train ride, and an even longer school year, Luca is finally back in Portorosso.
