The Velvet House is not a place of indulgence; it is a system.

I have been writing a sequel to the Book of Dust Trilogy. It is my attempt to continue to create the world of Lyra and stay true to the canon. Baelon is made Heir by King Jaehaerys I instead of Aemon’s daughter Rhenys. The Council of 101 does not happen and Baelon is named prince of dragonstone, with Alyssa by his side. The Story is set after 92 AC when Baelon becomes heir and will continue through the years with his heirship, his marriage with Princess Alyssa and the life of their sons, Prince Viserys and Prince Daemon who are adjusting in their new positions as their father's heirs while grappling with their adolescent life, and the entire Targaryen family.
