But he isn't one to go down without a fight or a backup plan. And he knows exactly what he needs to do in order to protect the one who was willing to see him for who he really was.
Sure, it's a risky plan, but Vinny's willing to go through with it.
After all, he has quite the lucky charm.

Here’s the first of my series of mini solve-it mysteries. In them, you help Joan, Monty, & Vinny solve short mysteries, like you do in Donald J. Sobol‘s Encyclopedia Brown or Jim Razzi’s Sherluck Bones.
First, I’ll post a mini-mystery for you to solve once a week. Then, I’ll post the answer the next day for you to see if you’ve guessed correctly.
Please keep in mind that this is my first time writing these kind of mini-mysteries.

So much black, and an ugly yellow, with all kinds of sinners and demons covered in the same substance. Even the Happy Hotel is covered in ink, and everything looks so old but new at the same time...

There's something clearly wrong here. And our two heroines are gonna fix this no matter what. If only their former business partner and first patron didn't get in the way.
As well as the bigger danger that looms over all of them and threatens to take Hell for themselves.
