Summary
Eragon grows up in Ellesmera with his brother. They've been raised away from the prying eyes of the humans in the empire. He's reluctant to step into the world of magic, but that doesn't matter much when you have no say in whether or not a dragon hatches for you. Eragon and Murtagh learn some harsh truths that send them down different paths and test the strength of their family bonds. Eragon will discover where he fits in the world he's never even seen before. He will make new acquaintances, and strong friends, and hopefully avoid powerful enemies. And maybe, with a little bit of help from his friends, he might just one day strike down Galbatorix.

And so, as a young girl of ten winters, Eragon has travelled to Ilirea to follow the customs of these times. She did not expect an other Dragon to hatch for her, nor was she prepared to befriend a very young and curious Brom. Least of all did she expect an arrogant, nosy young Rider by the name Morzan to start meddling.
She just hoped Galbatorix would make his appearance soon, because she had a duty to fulfill.-

I made an attempt to see our familiar heroes with fresh eyes. Lifting the curtain slightly—the one draped over them—I peeked behind it for a moment. And what I glimpsed truly left me breathless. What we knew about them was only the surface. Beneath lies a world of choices, regrets, and untold truths. Summary
The dragon riders are untouchable. Living monuments of immortality and prestige. Until one by one, there are whispers. Rumors spread like dragonfire over the plains. Civil unrest by the downtrodden, fear of a shade hidden in Alagaesia. And worse? The riders are unprepared to fight their own. The Forsworn rise like a plague. Corrupting the decisions of nobles and riders alike. As honorable as they may think they are, some dragon riders were willing to do anything in their power to achieve their goals. Even if it meant turning on their own.
Story takes place before and during the fall of the riders. As close to canon as I could manage on my own research. Follows Radi and his dragon, Maelorum. A 650+ year old elf whose contributions and compendiums to the dragon riders outshine the truth he believes. That humans are undeserving of the dragon rider bond. Senick, a young human magician calls that belief into question. Will Radi and Maelorum fight and die as broken heroes of The Order, or outlive the heroes and be felled by the hope for a new era without The Forsworn?
(Did my best to keep characters in-character. Mostly OCs with cameos and mentions to avoid self-indulgence. :P Tons of references, though!)
