Kaname kuran stared down at him with his usual air of disdane, like one would look at a mangy mutt, covered in filth, if one were to hate dogs.
The king of bloodsuckers had once again cornered him, and once again, he was going to stick it to him.
"Kuran" zero spat, eyeing the man with caution. As much as he wanted to shoot the bastard, he diddnt exactly feel like getting his ears chewed off by yuuki tonight. Mabey he'd do it if the guy ticked him off enough.
"I can smell her on you" kuran drawled, eyes as cold as they usually were. As he took one step back the pureblood took one step foreward. Presence towering, a telling of what was to come.
Fat chance he'd do it willingly.
"I diddnt even drink this time" zero hissed out, and he was telling the truth, yuuki had tried ofcourse but these days just a sniff of her blood was like a calling card for the prick.
Look at that face, he doesnt think hes ever seen it express anything other that perfection. He hated it.

Summary
The belief that purebloods are above illnesses is nothing more than a fable—a cheap, dirty lie. Awaking, Kaname feels uncharacteristically detached from his body. His eyes and throat burn, but not from bloodlust. His body slow to respond, he listens to his instincts and makes a run for it.
Zero, for his part, didn’t want anyone to disturb him—much less a pureblood that’s feeling less than perfect. Alone in the woods without his trusty Lily to get them back, he learns some interesting things about Kaname as he nurses the other back to health.
Or attempts to, at least. He didn’t consider the sheer vastness of chaos that could encircle the pureblood.

Zero hates his blood, Kuran’s blood, even Yuuki’s blood. He was supposed to die by a gunshot to his head, one from his master and one from himself, and neither landed. He’s a bastardized version of a vampire and a hunter to make one measly, pathetic, vampire hunter. For all his strength, he is tired and he craves rest.
It starts with shackles and pure blood dripped into his veins. It starts with self-hatred, then apathy, then remorse before slowly blossoming into love. It starts with enmity, violence, and hatred, before turning into kindness, peace, and mercy.
It starts with broken homes and broken bonds, siblings lost and alliances burned down, and it ends with a castle, a family, and friends who would die for each other.
It starts with Zero hating himself so much, he would lodge a bullet in his brain and submit to Kaname Kuran’s cruelty, and it ends with Zero in Kaname’s bed, well-fed and well-loved.
It starts with self-hatred, pain, and submission, and though it still ends with submission, it also ends with love, especially self-love.
[In other words, this is a story of Zero learning how to love himself, and realizing that others love him too (and yes, this includes the Night Class).]
