    Summary

Fates… I didn’t want to be a half-blood. I didn’t use to be before. This shouldn’t even be my story. Turns out when you’re considered too useful, too important, divinity will try and use you to their heart’s content.

They never seem to learn their lesson, and I have faced the consequences time and time again. I was so close to my happy ending, and now look at me. Here again. This new life is dangerous, of course, it’s nothing I haven’t faced before. But it’s terrifying all the same, especially with this… his… blood flowing through my veins.

You might think this is a work of fiction, and I am glad you will never feel my pain, but my stories can be pretty tragic so… don’t say I didn’t warn you.

If you do decide to continue, please learn from my mistakes. To be honest, the lives I have lived won’t just be considered strange. They’re going to be…

    Summary

They come in the dead of night.

It shouldn’t have been as unexpected as it was. The suitors have grown bold in their restlessness over the past few months. Their talks have turned to thinly veiled threats, actions a hand away from harm, and eyes burning with a loathing that would make the dead shiver.

The calm before the storm should have set alarm bells in Telemachus’ mind. In Penelope’s. Or hell, even some of the guards. The way that the suitors, but especially Antinous, seemed to be in high spirits the past month should have alerted them to some sort of plotting. They had held back, suspiciously so, from their usual haunts and taunts, giving Telemachus and Penelope room to breathe for once.

They should have known something was up. But with the past twenty years of waiting, tense and worrisome, the reprieve had been welcomed, not questioned.

They forgone looking the gift horse in the mouth and now it was snapping its rotting teeth at them.

“Be strong, my Telemachus. I love you, more than you know. Never forget you belong unto yourself, a wild wolf can be tamed by no man. Let not your teeth be worn down. Bite , my son. Swallow them whole.”

How can he when the pain and horror and despair is raping him as much as Antinous is?

His heart pangs for his most trusted companion. He prays that Argos is off running in a field, given back his youthful body so the dog can run free. Telemachus wishes he could too.

“To hate you would be to hate a part of myself. And your father. And,” She forgets the loom and cups both of her hands in his face. “To hate you would be a blaspheme to who you are. There is not one hair of you that I regret. I love you, the way that you were, are, and who you will grow into. That will never change. Do not wrought yourself with such thoughts, they will eat you alive.”

      […]

“You won’t ever leave me, Telemachus.” And, oh, how he adores the way she calls his name, like a promise of everlasting love. “I’ll be in your heart, always.”

      “Promise?”

      “With all of mine.”

“Why does a master love his dog?” Antinous catches a tear with the pad of his thumb and brings it to his lips. He laps at it and closes his eyes at the taste, like Telemachus’ inner turmoil is the most delectable fruit. When he opens them, Telemachus has to look away from the burning of them. Antinous turns his gaze back to him with yet another gentle touch. “Because he knows that he is its soul companion.”

      […]

“I love you, wife, because you complete me. You are the barking beneath my feet and the teeth at my throat. Your body gives me a pleasure unlike any man or woman ever will and your mind—your mind,” Antinous digs his nails into Telemachus’ skin and he whimpers but can’t quite seem to flinch or even blink, Antinous’ eyes keeping him still while his heart has never beat so fast. “You have been the only one to ever match me at my wit. Your tongue is sharp and wild, an intelligence behind every word. Your eyes have never once dimmed and I know they never will. Taming you isn’t to snuff your spirit, but to channel the fire inside your soul to kin to mine.”

Antinous leans his face in close, breath so hot against Telemachus’ face that he feels like he’s going to melt. “You were made for me, down to the very hairs on your head. I love you because you’re mine. And I will never let you out of my grasp.”

“You’ll what? Rape me?” […]. “Beat me?” He bares his neck more, letting Antinous see the marks already painted on his skin like black pastels on rotting canvas. “Mock me?” […] “Tell me, Antinous, what can you do to me that I won’t have already experienced, or worse, enjoyed?”

There isn’t a doubt in his mind that he’ll see Argos again. He will. They’ll run at each other in a blooming field and fall into one another. Argos will wet his face with his gross slobber and Telemachus will chase after him.

“No.” Antinous assaults his mouth again. “I’m not going to stop. Not now, not ever. Our souls are one, you’re bonded to me. You belong to me. […]” “I’ll make you bleed your lies until there’s nothing but truth. And then, then—” Antinous leans so that his lips graze Telemachus’ ears. “Then I’ll let us both join in death. Our matrimony is sacred, and yet you defiled it with your wiles, you ungrateful wolf.”

He misses her, probably always will. He knows his father misses her too.

      They can miss her together.

But they’ll see her again, he knows. He can feel it in his soul.

    Summary

How difficult is it to defy the fate that’d been woven for you, when you already know what is to come?

AKA Odysseus is only an infant when Zeus, the King of Olympus, hears of a prophecy of the future humiliation that Odysseus will inflict upon Poseidon years after the mortal prince ascends the throne. However, the future King of Ithaca will play a crucial role in winning the upcoming Trojan War. As Zeus is the one who’d banned the gods from interfering in the Trojan War, his hands are tied. So the thunder bringer devises a trial.

There are many ways of persuasion. Wherein somethings remain inevitable, but a tiny ripple can become a tidal wave.

Poseidon rasped, “Zeus has his demigod sons, Heracles and Perseus. Athena has the warrior Achilles. But you, Odysseus of Ithaca, belong to me.”

He offered something to the King of Gods, and apparently, the offer had been generous enough to have him whisked away. The crew, the one last solitary ship, remained still on a windless sea, going no direction for the whole night. Odysseus was returned to them at the crack of dawn, neither beast, nor the man from Ithaca.
He’d only said one thing. “We are free of debt” with none of the triumph the accomplishment would require. The ship started to move, not a lot, but at least it was something different than the stillness of the night, and the crew allowed themselves to breathe.

The first time Percy Jackson washed up on Ithaca’s shores, thousands of years in the past, he had just been blown up by a volcano. Of course, Odysseus didn’t know this at the time. All he knew was that a strange boy in even stranger clothes had just been spat out by the sea, right onto his doorstep.

The second time was a much different affair.

OR, the two times Percy Jackson is sent to the past, and Odysseus's observations of a boy put through hell.

    Summary

At the tender age of thirteen, the night before his coronation, Odysseus had grown wings. With his father succumbing to madness and his mother frail, Odysseus became The King of Ithaca, now with the weight of both the crown and his cursed appendages.

For the better part of his life Odysseus had bound these wings, repressing the instincts that came with it. Too bad a certain God noticed these harmful tendencies and decided to act on it. Hermes has always regarded family highly, looking out for his kin in one way or another.

Despite one falling through the cracks, Hermes will make up for it to make sure the mortal is never hurt again. Even if it means locking Odysseus away from the dangers of the world, Hermes will protect him.

Odysseus is, for a full second, determined to sacrifice his men. But Eurylochus’s eyes beg him to reconsider, and there is already so much blood on his hands - and then, in the midst of his desperation and fear, Odysseus has an almost violent epiphany: he has been given no time limit.

And so he shrugs lightly. “That’s true, actually. I don’t want you all to die either.” He looks pointedly away from the swords pointed in his direction, meeting his second-in-command’s gaze with a beam bright enough that the man recoils. “Thanks for bringing that up, Eurylochus. You’ve given me a lot to think about.”

“What in the Hades does ‘five-five’ mean?” Odysseus asks, throwing his head back in annoyance. What in the hells was he doing, arguing with this kid? He might be going insane. “You know what? Get out. Leave this stupid room. I need to fucking relax without a whiny voice in my ear.”
