He also remembered the fact that Jason was there. In his Red Hood attire, but still, the younger anti-hero was there. The moment the man was there, he immediately panicked. Parallax was talking to the younger male using his voice, his power. The alien raised his fist, prepared to strike Jason, but somehow, Hal's willpower went through.
Days, weeks, months of him trying to kick the alien out of his mind, somehow, it took Jason appearing in front of him to finally, for a brief moment, become himself again. He managed to stop the attack momentarily, though not without any pain, before Parallax once again appeared before him, fuming with rage. He was already weakened considerably at this point. It didn't take long for the alien to take control of his moment in mere seconds.

Hooves collided with the wet dirt, sending it flying as a group of Guardsmen rode through the swampy woods. The fog was thick in the air hindering their sights. It didn’t help that night had already fallen and the path was as dark as it could possibly be. The moon only offered a limited amount of light. The leading man had his coiled piece of metal, that adorned his middle finger, glowing to illuminate the path, to watch for the lurking shadows.
