Connor does wonder if Hank knows the night he killed him was also the first night he really felt alive, even if he did everything he could to hide it, to answer Hank’s questions the way he knew he should. He wonders if Hank knows that it wasn’t just the dying that hurt, but that Hank only did it because he was so sure Connor was just a machine. RK900 was designed to put a stop to deviancy, not through careful investigation, but through efficient killing. After being found at the bottom of CyberLife, RK900 is activated and the first person he sees is Gavin Reed. Unfortunately for the detective, part of RK900's programming is to obey the orders of the first human he laid eyes on and them alone. The only way for Gavin to get rid of his new plastic shadow is for the android to deviate. In the meantime, RK900 joins the DPD as Gavin Reed's partner.
