Ending 2 shows how Anon's life went down the drain. He happens upon Fang at a dirty pizza joint while on a rare trip outside his hovel. She doesn't look like she's been doing well at all. Based on how he sees things, he deems that they could never go back to what they had between them. He hadn't changed; people never change. He shakes his head, collects his pizza, and walks out.
A perspective shift, however, might tell a different story.

The words of the only girl he was supposed to care for dug into his soul, dragging him down to the dark below. Drowning in his misery, he chose the only thing he knew how to do. He ran away and enlisted into the Navy after dropping out, hoping to be forever lost at sea or die where no one would remember him. He served for five long years, through the hardships of combat and the bonding of war, where he gained a semblance of hope. Yet, just before his service ended, Anon slipped and fell. That momentary clumsiness tore away all hope for a future he ever had. With a promise to a man he owed everything to, Anon returned to the Bluffs, a desperate last act of a man who found his life worthless. But, hope dies without light, and on streets of Skin Row, light is a distant dream of those who long kept their heads down to the pavement. In this misery, one single act, one single chance meeting, could mean everything. With nothing to do but wait out the march of death, Anon joins a band in a dive Pizza joint. A choice that would either haunt him or change his life.

An utterly hopeless, broken place populated by equally hopeless, broken people… And yet even here the love blooms, the chance for redemption is given and someone whose life ended many years ago, figuratively speaking of course, may find themselves at the point where they can get it all back.
This is the story of detective Rando P. Erson, one of the few who patrol the streets of Skin Row, and the only one who can freely navigate through it, and who understands it. One day, after a day of the usual routine, his guts navigate him to a secluded pizza place, tucked away between the horrors and insanity of Skin Row. There he encountered a familiar face of the person he had yet to know. The one that he saw many times when visiting his boss's office, in the pictures on his table. This is the moment where Rando decides to do anything to help them.
