His eyes were glazed over and his chest was heaving from the force of his heavy breaths. She stood there frozen, unsure of what to say or do.

A simple mission goes horribly wrong and Team-7 find themselves stuck in the wilderness injured and facing demons from Kakashi’s past. It escalates from there, leaving them mixed up in a plot to drag Konoha into war and tear a fragile peace in two.

She took a deep breath and said in the most normal tone she could muster, "My parents wanted me to invite the three of you to dinner tomorrow night." It still came out a little bit strangled.
In front of her, Sensei grew very still.
"Oh," he finally managed.

The Harunos are eager to meet their daughter’s new genin team. Sakura isn’t sure that’s a good idea. Kakashi scrambles to groom his feral-raccoon students into something that won’t send Sakura’s parents running for the hills. Naruto and Sasuke are trying…someone’s best, that’s for sure.

“It’s weird,” Sasuke grumbled.
Sensei was now ooh-ing and aah-ing as her dad talked about his extensive antique stamp collection. If Kakashi felt their attention on him, he made no notice of it. He murmured something in a low aside to the Harunos, who fell apart in peals of laughter. Kizashi swatted at Sensei’s arm between chuckles while his wife swiped tears from the corner of her eyes.
Sakura pulled a face. Sensei wasn’t that funny.
Naruto, though, was now staring at Kakashi with a wonder usually reserved for encountering an endangered species in the wild. “Wow,” he breathed out, “Your parents love him, Sakura-chan!”
She winced. “Yeah, a little too much.”
“ – in this economy?” they heard Sensei say, “Please.”
All three adults roared with laughter.
Naruto’s brow knitted together. He darted a look over before scooting closer to his teammates. His eyes flitted between the two of them before he asked in a fearful whisper, “What’s wrong with the economy?”
Sasuke summed up her thoughts on the subject by shrugging eloquently.

Konoha 13 growing into the badass new generation we know and love.
Itachi fighting fate as usual but this time maybe, just maybe securing a future for himself and everyone he already sacrificed so much for.
And Kakashi, growing into a functional human being, stepping up in his role as teacher, embracing his new family (and totally embracing Iruka-sensei somewhere in there) and having to fight the world to the death to be able to keep any of these good things life offered him - as usual.- Words:

Ninjas are allowed to have a ninja companion like dogs, cats, wolves, toads etc. But not all of the ninjas had ever bothered to deal with the stubborn creatures, like bijuu.
Naruto managed to weaken the seal slightly, when he was at the Land of Waves. He learned that he can summon Kyuubi outside of his body, so he did it, and now Kurama is going to follow him around as a bijuu companion!!!
Naruto takes his fox literally everywhere he wants, as a chaperone. Other jinchuurikis would try to mimic them as well. Discontinued.
