Summary
After managing to escape the interrogation room with his life thanks to Sae, Ren is recovering from his physical injuries. However, he finds the scars on his heart inflicted by Akechi’s betrayal, and from being drugged and beaten in the interrogation room, are taking far longer to heal.
This is Ren’s healing journey, aided by his friends in the Phantom Thieves, and confidants he trusts to build himself back up piece by piece. Here be trauma and angst, but also healing and heartwarming moments as Ren learns to find comfort in others. Which is a bit of a surprise for Ren when he finds the individual he finds comfort in the most being the local airsoft shop owner, and ex-mobster, Munehisa Iwai.

The journey into Sae's casino of jealousy didn't quite end up how the phantom thieves planned it. Everything was going so well until that ambush.
But, regardless of how it happened, now the captured phantom thief is doing his best to give the rotten adults the silent treatment.. but something about this isn't quite right.

“Please,” Ann says, leaning forward to place her hand over his. “This interrogation, the stuff with Akechi, you did that for us. Please let us do something for you?” She squeezes his hand gently before Ryuji peers over her shoulder.
“Yeah, man. Trust us to get all the prep work done.”

Akechi, perfect, untouchable detective that he appeared to be, was just as fucked up as Akira, huh? Except Akira would never do that while threatening to fucking eat someone.
Now that he noticed it, he couldn't unnotice, and his face flared red.
The situation caught up to Akira. Him, entirely belonging to Akechi, literally inside him, soaked through with his saliva.
And Akechi, getting off on the power-trip. What a fucking pair.
Post 11/20, Akira is hit with an ailment they've never seen before. He's saved from his own stupid decisions--by the worst person who could've possibly found him like this.

After a grueling day in Mementos Goro Akechi finds himself at rock bottom, seeking comfort that he doesn't deserve and will forever be unable to obtain. The presence of his supposed-to-be-dead rival is hardly something that he expected to see today, but when faced with the chance to experience one last peaceful moment with him before they have to return to their respective sides of the chessboard, Akechi can't find it in himself to not indulge.
After a grueling start to his recovery process Akira Kurusu finds himself at rock bottom. He has his friends and confidants around him and ready to provide him with the support he needs, but then why does he feel so empty? Why does he feel as if he lost a part of himself that he will never get back again? Akira desperately wishes for the chance to have one more chance to talk to his rival, but he knows it won't end well for either of them.

The first thing Ryuji was aware of was the cold touch of wet grass pressed to his face. The scent of it, coupled with the flavor of dirt and salt on his tongue.
He was freezing.
He moaned and rolled himself over onto his back. He could barely breathe, his heart pounding like a mallet swinging against his ribs. He blinked through hazy wet eyes, struggling to focus on anything. Above him was the gray dark haze of city lights on a blanket of cloud cover. His ears rang, a piercing shrill that blocked any other sounds that could be around him.
His first coherent thought was, Wow. I’m not dead.” But he couldn’t quite piece together why he was so certain he should be. He honestly was more than happy to just lay there, find his breath again (why was he so short of breath?) and wait for someone to find him (where were the others? Where was he?).
And then the pain hit.

“I said you were a bloodhound, before,” Yu-bin says casually, as he secures the plastic bags around Tan-sik’s wrist with tape. “But I was wrong.”
“Wrong?” Tan-sik says, brow furrowing. It had been such a compliment, when Yu-bin told him Tan-sik’s sense of smell was better than a dog’s, and he worries that his outburst in the interrogation room must’ve made Yu-bin think less of him.
“Mm,” Yu-bin hums with a smile, tearing the tape. “You’re not a bloodhound. You’re a better guard dog.”
