The few that had come close were already on the ground, punctured with Carl’s knife before the gates had even been opened. An uneasiness settled in his stomach. This wasn’t normal. Even on the best of days at the prison, walkers lined up at the fence, their teeth gnawing at the wire as they tried to reach them.
Unsettled, Carl followed Aaron. He had nowhere else to go.
