Toss in a partner project, and Will has a new obstacle to tackle: a well-known musical rebel named Matéo Hernandez. But life is never that simple for them, as a group of teenagers from Russia who exhibit powers similar—but different, to El’s own make an appearance. They’re on the search for their siblings, and on the run from the danger of monstrous dogs from their facility that signs can only point to the upside down.

Steve sees it every time he closes his goddamn eyes: Sees the body collapse to the floor, sees Max run to him. He can hear Billy's hollow apology before his life so abruptly ended, can hear the silence throughout the mall because the monster finally died.
