”Ruby, can you come over here, please?” Nicole’s voice cuts the two out of their tense conversation, Ruby swiftly taking the out and walking to Nicole by the bar.
”Thank-“ Before Ruby can say anything, Nicole takes her wrist and pulls her down, connecting their lips in a quick but tender kiss. Ruby freezes, eyes wide and face turning a deep shade of red at the gesture. She can hear her coworkers reacting with chuckles or surprise around her and Cheyanne scoffing loudly, and the sound of her shoes on the wooden floor dwindling away. Once the two girls break apart, Nicole is watching Cheyanne leave as Ruby stands frozen.

After getting disowned, Weiss Schnee ventures off into Vale, living in the middle of the woods where she meets a certain beast that her grandfather would always tell stories about... She had barely breached acquaintances with one of the few people in town who didn’t glare daggers at her when she walked into a room, the last thing she needed to do was something asinine like develop feelings for the girl.
