N wasn't the type to believe in cryptids or supernatural folklore, especially the idea of "murder drones" which just seems to be a modern mechanical twist on stories of old. The idea of worker drones, with all their tracking technology just suddenly disappearing without a trace at the fault of an undetected race of robots living in the woods seems out of the question!
N was so, so wrong...

The worker whose number had been drawn was to be sent out to the ferrovores’ lair as an offering, like a metal and silicone sacrificial lamb. The hope had been this practice would placate and pacify the creatures plaguing the bunker, and minimize the death the ferrovores brought down by way of curbing their bloodlust before it grew to proportions only sated by a massacre, as it had so often done. They bond and eventually realize they both care for each other more than they thought.

Uzi Doorman is tasked with a project from her father, Khan, to reinforce the bunker with extra layers of protection a few months after the battle with Cyn. Unfortunately, she lacks the specific parts she needs, and decides to sneak out to retrieve them. However, she doesn't make it out the door without a surprise visit from V. After some bickering, the two of them go out together to retrieve the items Uzi needs, resulting in some arguments, bonding, an unexpected fight, fear, and comfort.
Basically, these two idiots are so stupidly in love and argue at every minor thing. They get closer to one another but unexpectedly deal with complications neither of them know how to openly talk about. Also I'm a whore for disassembly drones with animalistic features.

Summary
Uzi awoke in an abandoned building, overheating and unable to access any memory files that were made before that point. She found oil from corpses and that lasted a few days. But then her condition got worse.
Just as she was about to accept her fate, a strange drone gives her oil. Due to this random act of kindness, Uzi quickly gets attached to the drone that essentially saved her life. She follows the drone, starting her life anew with the strange drone and her squad.
Through this new life, Uzi has time to think. Who is she? Why was she in an abandoned building? And why can't she access any of her past memories?
