Pressing the glass to his lips, Skizz throws his head back, downs his drink in three easy mouthfuls, lets the whiskey buzz in his system as it slides down his throat, smooth, and settles in his empty stomach. At least he could sooth his urge as an alcoholic, he never had to look very hard to find something to give him a kick. Hopefully, he could drink himself into a mini coma, make himself less of a danger to his loved ones.. Fuck this was pathetic.
Hair sticks to his forehead as his head hangs, feeling the tension in his shoulders and the pain in his neck. Then, dainty soft fingers on his back.
He doesn't have to look up, to recognize the voice in his ears, like diluted mellow honey, or a watered down sugar syrup.

Now that he was actually employed as one, he supposed he was a hero to some people.
It was work that he enjoyed—he undid the damage that several villains did.
That his family did. Ex-family, anyway. He’d sworn them off a long time ago.
Skizz hadn't always been labeled a hero. It had only been after he'd ran away at sixteen that the Hero Program had taken him. Before that, he’d been the complete opposite of a hero, although it had never been what he wanted.
Shaking that thought off, Skizz grabbed his phone off his apartment counter. The notification flashed bright in his face—too bright—but it was clear.
Villain breach on community compound on N Shock St. Immediate search and rescue team assistance needed. All available units are called to action.
