It’s Dustin who saves Eddie.
He doesn’t try and carry him back to the trailer, nothing like that—if he could manage that on determination alone, then he would, but his throbbing leg has other ideas.
So he stays by Eddie’s side. Throws off his hoodie and starts to rip any piece of his clothing that he can, because he’s come a long way from when he once stuck bandaids on Steve’s beaten up face.
“What… what are you doing?” Eddie says in between gasping breaths.
Dustin would laugh if he wasn’t so scared. “Buying more time,” he echoes.

Just then Billy heard Steve hit the wall with his bat, the harsh crack of the wall was overwhelming and Hargrove found himself physically wincing. That was all he could take. Billy stamped out his cigarette in the nearby ashtray sitting on the kitchen table and went over the living room to see the damage.
There was now a medium sized gash in one of the walls. Obviously this was a miniscule detail in comparison to the whole situation, but nonetheless, Steve was just acting like a fucking idiot. “You’re a moron, you know that?”
Steve turned around from staring at the broken wall and rolled his eyes at him. “How could I forget.”
“Well, good,” Billy stated. “And also give me the bat.”
“Why?” Steve asked, clenching the bat even harder until his knuckles turned pale white. “You think you can do better, Hargrove?”
“Yes actually. At least I have aim.”

Summary
The Umbrella Academy has returned to 2019 and reunited with their friends from Hawkins. The Hawkins gang is staying at the Hotel Obsidian and will stay until the end of the week to catch up with their old friends. During this time, a mysterious man approaches Nancy about a young, eccentric billionaire, Luther wants to learn about the purpose of his moon trip, and Klaus’s deal with some shady people comes back to haunt him. At the same time, two criminals the Umbrella Academy has busted have escaped their prison called Hotel Oblivion. All of these situations are intertwined somehow, and the Umbrella Academy and the Hawkins gang must figure out how their situations are connected and if they are in serious danger.
This is the sequel to my fic Hawkins Will Not Fall. But you don't have to read Hawkins Will Not Fall to enjoy this story. I will give a recap somewhere in the first chapter, which will include spoilers for Hawkins Will Not Fall, so keep that in mind. I should also point out that, unlike Hawkins Will Not Fall, this story will be more Umbrella Academy-centric. It will have elements from season 3 and the Hotel Oblivion comics.

Like how he basically called him gay, treated him like shit, only focused on El, caused Will many breakdowns, outright ignored him, but you know still can't get myself to hate him because of that dumb so so very stupid crush. Or basically how he could never hate him because he has been madly in love with him, his best friend for years and knows he's a disgusting mistake who doesn't even deserve to be remotely happy and should really tell someone so he can be shamed for who he really is but here we are!
