essentially, Simon from Hawaii Part II is Jekyll's son (this takes place specifically in the universe of The Glass Scientists btw), and Jekyll's transformation potion was toxic and ended up leaking into his DNA, so now his whole legacy is doomed to have Hyde's of their own.

Simon hummed himself a comforting tune, harmonizing with the waves of the ocean as they crashed against the sand of the beach, yet going right through him.
It took a while to get used to the feeling of objects phasing through his apparition, but it's not so bad. At least he's not in any psychical pain anymore.
He knew his lover must be up there somewhere, living up to her name in the most literal way possible; Stella joined the stars, And he was supposed to be up there with her.
Sometimes, Simon wonders if she looks down upon his purgatory and thinks something similar about his situation.
Doe's she think they both deserve the afterlives they were granted? Doesn't matter too much, though. She'll be back tonight.And then they can both live forever.

The tapping sounds came back and Dream straightened his back instinctively as if the tapping was against his spine. After what seemed like minutes Ranboo spoke up in their monotone voice racking up chills in his spine.
"It was fun chatting and all, but it seems I really got to go,” Dream huffed, the pit of annoyance starting to bubble in his gut. “Before I go, remember the windmill, Dream? Good times right?” his eyes furrowed slightly, a small spark of a memory surfacing but it was shortlived. Ranboo noticed this and had the audacity to scoff, glaring at the guards who pulled the handcuffs. They needed to get going. With one last parting comment they were out the door staring into nothing as the dozens of cameras flashed around them with microphones being shoved at their mask.
