Summary
In Lenora Hills, California, the Byers family (now including Eleven) is attempting to settle in to a new life free of eldritch abominations and governmental overreach. Key word, *attempting*, because when two of you are in love with the same oblivious boy and also deeply traumatized by your past experiences, settling is... difficult. At least they have each other.
In Hawkins, Indiana, the Party is mourning the loss of two of its members, and also attempting to have an ok time in high school. It's a weird line to toe. Everyone's a little shaken, but it's the Party. Fighting weird shit is what they *do*. They might even, if they try, find a way to bridge the gap between what they have and what they've lost.

- DURING AND POST SEASON 4 VOLUME 2 -
That was when he saw them.
The two figures were folded over each other on the ground, a ring of dark shapes crumpled and curled around them. Webbed, membranous wings fluttered lifelessly in the wind, lifting at odd angles like plastic bags on the interstate.
But Steve could barely see them.
His ears rang, his vision reduced to a greyish tunnel as he recognised the wooly texture of Dustin’s ghillie suit.
No.
Steve’s feet tripped beneath him as he staggered down the hill, moving towards them.
No hero moves, his thoughts washed through his mind in a seasick, rolling fashion. He could already see the dark wash of blood, soaking the ground like ink around them, as he bolted forward.
I said no hero moves.

Steve Harrington, ex-lifeguard and babysitter extraordinaire, happens to be blessed with knowledge of first aid. Eddie is the recipient of this aid, and as he recovers he must learn to live with the fact that he owes his life to a prom-king with a 12 step haircare routine. This would be easier if he didn’t find said prom king so uncomfortably attractive.
And if the world would stop ending for five minutes.

In the aftermath of their fifth time saving the world (and their first time failing to save it), the Hawkins gang works on putting their lives back together. They move into new homes, get ready for Max to come home from the hospital, and try and live their lives now that the Upside Down is no longer looking over their heads.
And for Steve and Robin, putting their lives back together also means helping Eddie Munson cope with the nightmares that plague all three of them.

Steve and Robin sleep together every night so that they can comfort each other when they have nightmares. Steve knows Eddie isn't sleeping well because of his own nightmares and is really really invested in getting him to join his and Robin's nightly sleepovers.

In theory, they’re all in for a night of laughs and the tamest of Halloween scares.
In practice… not so much.
Or, The Party goes to a haunted house. Eddie is a scare actor working there.

A slick, expensive-looking car pulled up in between Eddie and Max’s trailer.
