Summary
Inspired by the events of Batman: Gotham By Gaslight (1989) Bruce Wayne is on trial, believed to be Jack the Ripper after the serial murders follow him from London to Gotham. Clark Kent is sent to report on the trial and the week leading to Bruce's execution. He is unnerved by Bruce, who's appearance and demeanor have drastically changed, however upon arriving back in Gotham a day after the trial Clark is greeted with the city in uproar. Bruce Wayne has escaped his imprisonment and criminals start cropping up half dead covered in identical puncture wounds. Clark sets out to find Bruce as Superman, finding instead a monster lurking in the shadows of Gotham's streets.

Bruce sometimes imagined having a normal life, giving in to his desires, being able to love in peace without having to disappear at night to protect Gotham City... But he knew that wasn't possible. On the other hand, this clumsy journalist gave him a semblance of being able to achieve that love.
Clark also often thought about this romantic life without superhero adventures... But how can you have a normal life when you ARE a superhero and you love a billionaire? They were both screwed.
(Basically a cute romance between Clark and Bruce to feed my delusion !)
