Summary
Lance liked to think he had his shit together- at least, enough so that he could fake it most days and honestly, a lot of it was together, just not how he hoped it to be (especially in the dating department). But he was doing ok: classes started, he got a new job to help pay for the ever increasing cost of books he’d never use again after three months, and currently he was staring at possibly the most attractive man he’d seen in a long-ass time, completely forgetting what the fuck he was supposed to be doing in that very moment.
Unfortunately for Lance, a whole slew of ‘what the fuck’ moments were about to bombard him in the form broad, tall, and unfairly salt and peppered hair paired with small, mean, and just as annoyingly hot. And oh yeah, he did notice the rings, but that apparently did nothing to deter his new acquaintances of fucking with him in more than one way.
Lance’s shit was far from together.

Keith had always been an absolute unit during their relationship. He'd been pretty much solid muscle, while still managing to pack some thick thighs and ample ass, but then his time in the Quantum Abyss aged him enough to have another growth spurt. Lance had gotten a little taller since then too, but it wasn't enough to put them back at the same level as before. Being taller and now having love handles, there was MUCH more of Keith for Lance to appreciate.

He really should have seen it coming- it's the golden rule of being in and off and on again situationship. Don't fall for your best friend... Don't do anything that could irreversibly shift the team dynamic and most of all don't get caught.
But that was considerably more difficult when the said root of the problem was lying underneath you making these hot breathy little noises that made your heart skip a beat. and the way he says your name makes it feel special- like it was only meant for you.

Summary
