Now after two months of dealing with an overbearing, possessive Zelda, Link decides to escape the castle for a bit so he can get some time away from her. During his time out he comes across a certain Zora who Link believes that he now has feelings for. Or maybe that's the heat that's talking...

Four hundred years have passed since a dark force devastated Hyrule. For centuries, it seemed, the people fled a terrible power that destroyed all in its path, until the sorceress retreated to her dark castle, and the people began to cautiously rebuild. But the threat is still there, crouching on Hyrule's borders while swathes of monsters roam the land, and the dreadful Myyr raid villages and towns with abandon. No matter how many battles Hyrule wages against the sorceress, none have succeeded in defeating her.
Princess Zelda faces a dilemma. How can she stop a seemingly untouchable foe, one that even her ancestors could not slay? Summary
Nine years after Link has saved Hyrule from the Twilight Crisis, the land has entered a time of relative peace. Ganondorf is dead, and aside from occasional trouble with rogue monsters or bandits, the citizens of Hyrule have little to fear.
That is until a dark stranger falls from the sky.
Tasked with guarding the oddly charming stranger on the back of a troubling prophecy Princess Zelda has discovered, Link must do what is necessary to keep Hyrule safe, even if the dangers are not immediately obvious.
But his own demons are coming back to haunt him as well...~~~~~~~

Again, because it's all Link knows for sure, all that he’s certain about, "I can fight."

Hylia, spare me. Link looked momentarily towards the ceiling.
"I'm an incredible archer so as you can see here I've won many, many contests." His smug smile almost made Link roll his eyes. Almost, Link wouldn't give him the satisfaction.
I could beat him, Link found himself thinking. Was it a bit prideful? Yes. But it was also humble because he said 'could' which gave the prince a slight chance against him. Link thought he was doing okay at balancing his jealousy.
Zelda, much to Link's delight, didn't really react much except for a "Very nice."

Link came from a proud tribe of warriors, ones he only knew from stories from his mother. What happened to them, she never had the chance to tell him. He chose to leave, to live like his ancestors once did. Doing so taught him the brutality of the other half of his lineage, and allowed bitterness towards the Hylian Kingdom to take root. But a shadow grows on the horizon, and he can't just stand back and watch the world burn to spite it. He was named after a hero, after all. He has to do something.
