Terry loves this town and he loves everyone in it. He wasn't always that way though, he sort of had no one before, and he wasn't ever considering himself a candidate for marriage, Ares could have anyone else that was more appropriate around his age that the overachiever wanted.
Though when he and Ares finally start becoming a thing, more and more domestic bliss and husband - became real and less of a cruel joke in his mind. Parenthood was also never in his plans, sure he had 'looked after' Cecil and Martin, but parenthood? Being a father? This... was real.

Summary
On the anniversary of the day Cecil last saw his parents, he's determined to mark the somber occasion by being there for Martin in whatever way his brother needs.
But Martin's completely forgotten about it, and what's more, doesn't seem to particularly care when Cecil points it out. The ensuing argument results in revelations that turn Cecil's world on its head and leave him wondering if there's anyone in Rigbarth who he can put his faith in... or who is willing to put any faith in him.
Faced with a now uncertain future, Cecil is forced to consider what it means not only to forgive others, but to ask for forgiveness from those he's hurt as well, and to evaluate what his goals and motivations in life truly are.

Alice was a girl with amnesia thrown into Rigbarth’s problems the moment she stepped foot into town; not that she minded. She was the type of person to reach out a helping hand whether explicitly asked or not. Often called reckless and self-sacrificing, she became a valued member of Rigbarth’s community seemingly overnight. The “ace ranger” everyone looked up to was buckling under the expectations.
Cecil was well, Cecil. One of the many villagers in Rigbarth, but he was possibly Alice’s greatest admirer. He was trusting to a fault, naïve, and too nice for his own good. Naturally, the two got along quickly, but Alice’s own feelings seemed to be getting in the way of her job.
*The plot follows the game (sorta) but it's more Cecil-focused. I included actual game and town events but also I added my own little original parts. I hope you like it.*
