Months later, when he is wandering the wilds of Hyrule, a portal opens, and eight strangers fall out, asking him to join them on a quest.

When nine heroes were brought together on an adventure, they'd thought that that was all that they were; nine heroes, nine brothers, nine Links, all called to save the world together, as a team.
When evidence starts to indicate that one of them is more than that though, each hero takes it upon himself to defend his new knowledge and the brother that it concerns, unbeknownst to the rest. After all, princes aren't taken well to in Hyrule, and trust each other though they might with their own lives, they're not yet ready to trust each other with someone else's, especially when that person is Hylia's own blood. -

Over time the curse has strengthened, making the time loops more and more unhinged. The circumstances of my awakening are different every time, but are rarely fortunate. No one’s been able to so much as notice the curse, but I think it’s safe to say it’s evolved to carry a very potent curse of misfortune. There’s more to the curse, but it’s powerful and inconsistent enough it’s hard to pin down with a simple name.”

Link grasps her hand tightly, like he wanted to feel her warm but also to reassure himself that this was real. What she said was real. Because, deep down he knew that Saria would never lie for something like this.
“I didn’t deserved her” he could only said in the end.
“You deserved her. You did everything you could for this land and her and everyone you care about. And she manage to provide you with a peaceful and quiet life. A life that would not be possible without you”.
“Don’t you think that you also deserve some rest after everything you have done?”.
(Or Hero's Spirit get a visitor, sometime after he return to the Lost forest and after learning something he decided to return back to LOn Lon ranch and got a first meeting with his descendant and future hero of Twilight).
