Sokka desperately wants to move out of his sister's crowded place, and in turn find friends that aren't just friends of Katara's he's latched onto. Zuko seems like a great option, if it weren't for the fact that he wants absolutely nothing to do with Sokka at all.
Mai is tired, Suki and Katara are annoyed, and Yue is amused.

The basic, basic idea: Aang rescues Zuko from *something* after his traitor-ship, they end up travelling together, and Zuko slowly falls for him (the feelings are reciprocated).
To elaborate on that: in which the rest of the Gaang gets captured by the Dai Li during their time in Ba Sing Se and a lonely, dejected Aang rescues (and nurses back to health) Zuko who is injured in an unpleasant encounter with the Dai Li. They form a(n initially) begrudging alliance as they navigate Ba Sing Se while the universe keeps throwing shit at them.

Very heavily inspired by the Glass animals song Hot Sugar. I heard this song for the first time and fell in love and thought of Zukka instantly. I have always shipped these boys but I thought I’d try my hand at writing.
This fic is an AU that centers around the GAang’s life in California. Now, that’s not to say everyone in this story is originally FROM California.... hehe. I think you guys will really appreciate how I’ve incorporated bits of the characters’ identity from the show into this fic, but of course added my own little twist. That’s what a writer does. ;)

At least, that’s what he was always led to believe.
