"I'll do that instead."In a modern twist to FF7 that removes monsters and magic, Sephiroth was once a SOLDIER 1st Class Special Ops Officer, who, for unknown reasons, lost his mind during a mission to Nibelheim and went on a rampage, murdering everyone he came into contact with. He ended his killing spree by blowing up the reactor before disappearing.
Five years later, Cloud Strife-presumed sole survivor of the incident-wakes up in hospital and learns of the tragedy, and discovers he's one of President Shinra's illegitimate children. More revelations rock Cloud's unsteady world view, but in the midst of things he finds hope and sanctuary with the one person he longed to see the most: Tifa Lockhart.
