The dinner he cooked for Yuji after holding him in his arms and looking into his eyes as if he was the only boy in the world
– The same book he had only mentioned the title of once, and had completely forgotten how he had meant to pick it up earlier that morning. And Megumi, his quiet, introverted, unsociable roommate, had gotten it for him.
He listened.
Tears pricked at his eyes and he blinked them away furiously.
He cared enough to actually pay attention
And suddenly, he realizes Megumi might be the only person who has ever made him feel like he has a reason to be paid attention to.

Yuji's assigned to a shitty project and a not so shitty partner and they use it as an excuse to fuck nasty style.

After Sukuna, after Yuuji and Megumi both have their bodies back, they have to deal with the fallout. They have to deal with the nightmares, with the dissociation, and with the feelings they’ve tamped down since the beginning because too much was going on.
It’s wretched work, hiding pills and knives, trying to look out for signs that the other hides as much as they can. It’s horrible, wanting to sleep forever rather than be woken by nightmares one more time, but curled in each other’s arms maybe it’ll be a bit more bearable. Maybe it’ll be ok if they can sleep. Maybe they’ll be ok if they have each other. It’s what they cling to when Yuuji combs through Megumi’s hair, and Megumi grips Yuuji’s shirt. It’s what they cling to when they cling to each other.

Yuji fished the keys out of his pocket, but as he reached for the lock, he paused, turning his hazel eyes back to Megumi. "Are you feeling any better?" he asked softly, his gaze dropping for a fraction of a second to how Megumi looked like basked in the moonlight.
Megumi looked up at him, taking in the earnest curve of Yuji’s mouth, the warmth radiating off him, and the sheer, steady presence that had anchored him for the last two years. The fear of ruining their friendship was still there, a faint whisper in the back of his mind, but it was entirely drowned out by the memory of Nobara's words from earlier, and the undeniable truth of how Yuji looked at him.
"Kinda," Megumi whispered. "Not really though."Before Yuji could reply, Megumi reached out, his fingers curling into the front of Yuji’s sleeveless shirt to pull him down. Stepping up slightly on his toes, Megumi closed the remaining distance and pressed his lips firmly against Yuji's.

He runs a hand over his face to ground himself a little, shame running through him like ice cold water in replacement of his hot blood.
Something about Yuji's scent drives him absolutely crazy.

Blood, iron, has a savory taste if Yuji had to pick. Sweet and sour are far from it, though it carries the same excitement when it hits his tongue. Spice doesn't apply either, as it doesn't hurt his mouth in any way. It pleasantly coats the cavity of his mouth.And bitter would have the characteristic of an acquired taste. Megumi is not.
OR
Megumi has Hyperosmia. Yuji has Hypergeusia. Their attachment to each other takes a darker turn.

“Your neck is so pretty,” Yuji murmurs, and Megumi shivers from the way his fingers explore the expanse of his throat, almost ticklish. “I think your uniform would hide it if I bruised you right here. Do you think so?”
Megumi immediately nods. He doesn’t even fully register the question. He just wants Yuji to choke him, wants to feel his teeth sinking into him, wants Yuji to make him bleed. He’s so fucking desperate, he’s nauseous with want, head dizzy with such thick desire. He can’t even focus on anything except for Yuji’s hand on his neck and his weight on his lap. And his scent. Yuji smells so fucking good.
“I want your hands around my throat,” Megumi speaks without much thought. “Choking me. I want you to hurt me, Yuji.”
Megumi’s body is covered in various bruises and injuries that seem to never heal. He finds himself obsessed with the pain, as well as the visual reminder of whose hands dealt the damage.
