Aziraphale has just returned from his moderately successful time serving as Supreme Archangel in Heaven. “You want to punish me, right?” Aziraphale used his loud voice to carry over the music. He held his hands out to his sides, palms up. “Here I am.”
Crowley's yellow eyes were visible to all as they narrowed into slits, looking more and more snake-like. But he didn’t move, didn’t say anything. Aziraphale took a step closer, then walked up the three stairs slowly, deliberately, hands still facing up in surrender.
He dropped to his knees in front of Crowley, hands still palm up in front of him.
“I am here, Crowley,” his voice was lower now, and it was as though everyone else in the space had disappeared. He was just talking to his demon now. “I am yours.” And then he waited.

Aziraphale escapes Heaven and the title of Supreme Archangel after a decade since he took his leave of Earth. Seven years of which were spent in agony for Aziraphale.
When he comes back, what's left for him? Will anyone care?
And what's left of Aziraphale to heal when he returns?
When had he become this? When had he lost everything: his pride, his dignity, himself… Crowley? When had he become a shell rather than a living thing? And how did it happen so quickly and quietly? Why had he just gone along with it all this time… why had he believed them at all? Had he been brainwashed by the Metatron or was he just that naive, that blind? Why had he just left earth and Crowley behind; he couldn’t even remember the reasoning he had justified his choice with. It made him want to vomit how gullible he had been in thinking Heaven could be fixed. They’re toxic. Crowley’s words rang in his head like a cruel reminder of what he could have had.

"Why are you doing this?"
Aziraphale's voice is faint, his breathing uneven. Crowley doesn't lift his eyes to see the sickly look on his face, the twist of pain where only joyous smiles should ever be.
"Bandages need changing", he mumbles, eyes fixed firmly on his working hands.
"No. I meant-" He can hear as Aziraphale swallows. "Why do you care for me?"
It isn't just 'why do you take care of me'. It's 'why do you still care at all'.
Crowley has to close his eyes for a second, makes sure Aziraphale doesn't see.
"Cause you're here", he says, voice carefully detached, "and you're hurt, and you need someone. And that someone's gotta be me."
"Why?"
He won't answer that. He can't answer that.
"Don't ask stupid questions."

Or, the one where Heaven punishes Aziraphale the only way they know how, Crowley is there to help pick up the pieces, and maybe they can actually build something new and much more beautiful from both their broken shards.- Language:

He looks nothing like the angel Crowley lost two years ago. The angel who left him was clean and clean-cut. He had on his stuffy old suit with the worn-down waistcoat, a soft round shape to him, and a warm smile that hardly left his face. This angel is ragged, burnt, and soot-covered. He's almost gaunt, what little of his face isn't hidden by hair, and his smile is broken. It makes Crowley consider, for perhaps the first time since Aziraphale left him, just what the angel has been going through alone.
Aziraphale had left him, that was true. But he'd come back. Worse for wear, and not quite who he used to be. Still, he came back. Crowley steps forward, slowly. Aziraphale stiffens, shrinking into himself as Crowley closes the gap between them and takes one of the angel's hands in his own.
"Let me fix you up, angel."
