Summary
The room had green walls. It was a soft, dull sort of green- sage green, 1x1x1x1 believed, is what people called it. The floor was a darkened wood but had a soft brown carpet stretching across the sitting area. It matched the brown armchair, and the equally brown couch, but lacked the plaid patterns both pieces had.
In the armchair, a woman sat. She had yellow skin and white-dyed hair. It was always up in a bun with a blue fox-shaped pin holding back her bangs. When they had asked her about the pin, she had mentioned that she had a husband and daughter who conspired to get it for her. (That conversation had also been the one to bring up 1x1x1x1's own parents.)
It was mercy that she had not asked then.

Searching for something, perhaps even someone, and it- despite undeserving of her attention- permitted such acts. It allowed her to look upon what was even further below her right.
"Oh," the mother frowned, upset, and it watched as she stepped nearer. "You never wanted this, did you? You don't really want to hurt us."

Summary
A great source of despair draws Nightmare to an abandoned AU. There he finds an unfinished Sans with no name, no companions, no purpose, no world, and a soul. Nightmare gives him the option to get out of his abandoned, empty world. He accepts the offer but refuses to destroy anything or hurt people. Instead he finds another purpose. In return the Bad Sanses give him a home, companions, a life, and a name. They call him Ink.
Or: Before he can destroy his soul and enter the Doodle Sphere, Ink is recruited by Nightmare. He accepts his role as best he can, even if he sometimes feels like he is meant for something more.
