Seeing Viggo barely holding himself up right with several arrows sticking out of his back as the man forced a piece of Maces and Talons into his hand, Hiccup couldn't seem to swallow it. The man wanted to sacrifice himself for Hiccup and Toothless — the man who manipulated, ambushed, and ultimately tried to kill them. Served him right to die.
Why did it leave Hiccup with a feeling of hesitation and uncertainty, then?

This is very nicely written :)
It actually makes me want to try a Truth or Dare drinking game myself, however I wouldn’t be able to do alcohol, so I’d have to do something I find mildly gross or something really spicy (however I have a bit of a spice tolerance, but maybe it’d work over time)
I’d also have to find friends that would be willing to do this with me and the group is comfortable with each other
Something I also really appreciate about the fic is the characters remain polite and respectful to each other and everything is consensual, that’s what helped keep everything light and sweet <33333 -

Summary
Jack hugged his legs. The way he said that so nonchalantly, like it wasn’t any big deal…it didn’t bother him, and yet it did. Emotions were hard to express, and he wondered day after day how Optimus was so good at hiding them. He knew he cracked a small smile now and then and occasionally indulged in the bots' activities (well, most of said activities were Miko’s ideas). But it was always the Prime’s words that mesmerized him. He always knew what to say at the right time, and how to comfort someone. Jack’s seen him talk a ton with the other bots, and even Raf once. He’s always been the one reassuring others that he’s never known how it felt to be on the receiving end.
And now that he’s here listening to Optimus’ words, it feels…nice. His heart feels warm with pride.
Or, Jack and Optimus have a talk about responsibilities while comforting each other in their own ways

Time loops were a curse that never left you alone. If they didn't hate how drugs feel, they'd probably be an alcoholic by now. Maybe if they were blacked out, they wouldn't be haunted every time they saw anyone around them. "... You'd be surprised."

Sword looks as though a hurricane had mussed up his hair, his eyes blown wide, dazed, and his lips reddened and kiss-swollen. He blinks, taking a moment to process Rocket’s eyes on him (and oblivious to the amount of energy it’s currently taking to not drag Sword in for a kiss again), and simply asks, “…Your Highness?”
Rocket can feel the pink dusting his cheeks. Going out in the hall looking like the pinnacle of guilt would do no good for either of them. He swivels towards the door and begins walking, inwardly composing himself as he explains in a hushed voice, “We’re going back to our quarters.”
“Wha—?!” Sword starts, but Rocket's already pushing open the doors, gliding out into the hall with all the calm, controlled poise he’s used to exuding, and Sword scurries after him. When they turn a corner and find it empty, he takes the chance to whisper, “My liege, are you—do you need my assistance?”
His poor phrasing and scandalous tone is so embarrassing Rocket breaks his facade with a grimace, feeling color flood his cheeks, before he murmurs back a bedgrudging, “…Yes.”
Rocket and Sword haven't had much time together. A brief solution presents itself.
