Summary
In which Mumbo crosses several towns, learns some creative methods of self-defense, fights some monsters, sees things no human is meant to have seen, befriends a stranger, steals multiple cars, has inconvenient moral scruples, grows increasingly terrified of his own culpability in the apocalypse, grows a spine, blows up at least one building, accidentally prevents a murder, and attempts to find his best friend in the futile but ever-burning hope the man’s still alive.
He has to say, he’s so exhausted and terrified that he thinks he might just be mad?
(OR: the one where, after most of humanity turns into a series of terrifying monsters, Mumbo decides he’s going to risk his life on an apocalypse road trip to try to find out if Grian is alive. Things, as you might imagine, devolve from there.)

The room is silent, and Scar gently places his hand on Grian’s, “You know that don’t you?” When he doesn’t respond, Scar continues in an even smaller voice, “You know we love you, right?”
Watchers do not have friends no attachments she’s hurt go help her no don’t— stay put chin up, fledgeling do as you’re told. It won’t hurt if you could just listen you useless thing. Put obsidian over your chests, that’ll teach you to organize everything is orderly, the universe functions by the rules we enforce—no little empire, the universe is fluid and kind, they lie, they want to control us they want power—we want what’s best for you, stand up straight, don’t waiver, never waiver, never, never, never.
“Grian,” A warm hand on his shoulder, a breath is punched from his lungs, “Grian, it’s ok—”
Grian clenches his teeth so hard they ache, praying over and over to to—he’s not sure who he’s praying to. Who will answer when he is a god himself?
Or;
Xisuma's religion is the Watcher pantheon, of which Grian is an unwilling member. And—wait. Has anyone seen Pearl?

Summary
Mumbo doesn’t say anything for a moment, and Grian doesn’t look at him - until a hand gently clasps over his shoulder. “Things do change,” he starts. “We’re both growing as people, Grian, and you’re dealing with memory loss and the things the Watchers have done with you. And it’s not always going to be easy.”
“Comforting,” he mutters, and the hand tightens ever so slightly - not painfully so, just added pressure.
“It doesn’t mean it’s going to change for the worse, mate.” Mumbo squeezes his shoulder once more, before letting go.
Or: Grian and Mumbo have finally been reunited after being torn apart - but they have a lot to learn after almost three years of being separated, and Grian has to figure out just where his place is among the Hermits.

Talon hated his coffin. He hated the way it forced him still, it forced any form of thought from his head, the overwhelming frigidness becoming his only sensation. He hated the way Cobb ordered him into it like it was nothing, especially when a tiny voice inside him raged and raged and raged in defiance, producing a throbbing pain in his temple that inevitably got him nowhere. He still ended up forced into the coffin, the cold taking over him the worst form of torture he ever experienced.

Summary
There was a tumblr post abt what if Snufkin had paws and a tail, but they're invisible and he wears gloves to hide it so everyone assumes they're hands and no tail??? Thus its multi chapter fic time.
Snufkin runs into a spot of bother in the mountains, and returns early to Moominvalley. Too-ticky helps as best she can through the winter months, but now that spring has arrived, he must return. Being invisible would worry them, but never arriving would be even worse.

Summary
The first time Mumbo sees Grian's wings, it's at the start of Season 6 and they've just come out of the portal. His feathers are pearlescent with bright blue at the edges, flecks of purple hidden within them that he can only see when he's close.
(He brings this up one time at Sahara, and Grian merely gives him a thoughtful look before shrugging and returning to building.)
The first time Mumbo sees Grian in Season 7, his wings are a completely different color. It wouldn't be so strange, he supposes, if Scar saw the same thing as he did. But he doesn't.

Summary
Bad's life revolved around serving Dream. Dream's safety is absolute - even if it means sacrificing all his friendships, and even his own life. It's the life of a familiar, where humans will reign supreme over them. They were nothing but animals - caged things that lived only to serve. But even a tamed lion could only last so long without reaching its breaking point. The same goes for a demon who's been living off scraps of acknowledgement from an evil god, and he'd exhausted the last of his patience.
TLDR: Bad realizes that he's been poisoning all his relationships for the sake of a human who doesn't even want him.
