Summary
Castiel is alive. He's back from the Empty, and he knows Dean loves him too. He had been so sure that Dean was going to kiss him.
He couldn't. Castiel's deal is still in effect. If Dean kisses him, or says anything back, he will die again.
Jack seems to think that Castiel will get out of the deal. Castiel knows better. His actions have consequences. To himself, and to Dean, who wants him too and still can't have him.

Summary
It was in every damn movie, every damn show, a touch like that. Hell, even Dr Sexy had one in that terrible season 11 finale when Dr. Piccolo had cradled Dr. Sexy’s Bird-of-Paradise while her cat had laid on his chest, until the head trauma had pulled Dr. Sexy under. Mira wasn’t sure what happened after that, because Dean had pulled her head close under his chin and held her there until the episode was over.
That time it was tragic. But every other time was wonderous, orgasmic. And it was television, so it had to be exaggerated. But she knew what another touch felt like, the bone deep violation that came with it. So maybe it made sense that when it was wanted, accepted, that it would be euphoric. When it was Cas, it would be better.

Taking Nature's Own a little too much to heart, but sure," Dean tells him, flashing him a sarcastic smile and swiveling around in the aisle to march away. He throws out something over his shoulder, careless and barbed. "I'm not paying for that shitty cardboard."
Dean's three aisles over when he realizes what, precisely, he said. Thankfully, when he comes to this conclusion, he's holding a box of poptarts, so when he fumbles and drops them to the floor, it's not a huge mess. He stares down at the slightly dented box of Brown Sugar Poptarts, and he has a very swift and very unshakeable crisis right there and then.
Love you too, asshole.
No, no, no. Why would he say that? Why would he do that? In the middle of the goddamn grocery store while arguing about bread? That's not—that can't be how it happens. That can't be.

Summary
After everything they've been through, Team Free Will 2.0 dies after a monster attack, and Castiel sends Dean back to 2005 with no instructions, not even telling him that once he's steered any and all ways that future could happen off track, Castiel will join him.
Basically a short amalgamation of ideas I have about if Dean got a redo, there were certain characters I found too interesting to let go of and I like the idea that even without Sam, Dean is still a great hunter who manages to surround himself with loved ones.

Summary
Gone, gone. He can’t feel his hands. Gone, gone.
Is there a word for the absence of an echo? When you call into a vast, dark space and expect an answer, even just a reflection of your own voice, but nothing will call back to you? These are Dean’s thoughts. This is the world.
Wall at his back. Shuddering. Gone. Hands numb, shaking. Bereft of tears. Cas gone. Which means love gone. Forever.
Wall at his back and he can’t stop trembling. Numb. It could be seconds, or minutes, or hours. It feels like years. Time dissolves around him, the world dissolves around him. Cas. Gone.
And only the absence of an echo of the world, left.

Fixing the events of 15x19 to give the characters believable arcs and the stories they deserved (including Michael because WOW) and the events of 15x20 so that, essentially, they never happened and Dean grieved properly before getting to live out his days with the love of his life, on earth.

Summary
Ellen and Jo Harvelle run Harvelle's Roadhouse, a bar that unintentionally becomes a beacon for wayward queer souls.
Her employees: Dean, the smartass runaway with a big heart and bigger mouth; Castiel, the college drop-out turned hippie; his (surprisingly heterosexual) trouble-making brother Gabriel; and Charlie, who has been told several times that the back room is not to be used for after-hours Dungeons & Dragons games.
But there's a lot of love in this place, and a new family for anyone who may otherwise be without.

Visually, Castiel's love is a circle. Aurally, it's an echo. Kinesthetically, it's breathing. Overall, it is not fate, and it is not chance; it is choice. He would not choose differently if he could go back and do it again, and that's why he didn't choose differently from the start.
