She watched them, the boy and the demonic Blade.
“Nothing new then,” the Blade, no, his Blade commented as two banners formed at their back as a golden ether line connected the boy and the Blade.
“Hate to do this, but…” the boy muttered, then lifted the katana and slashed down, cutting off the Indoline soldier’s head. The soldier’s body faded into black ether dust as it left the clothes behind.
Or: Nia having a no good very bad day but not as bad as canon.

As the house came into view, he dipped to the edge of the crowd and escaped the mass, walking down the side path that led up to the house. The wood of the stairs creaked as he walked up them and knocked on the door.
He took the bag off of his shoulders as he waited. After a few seconds the door opened, revealing a tall Blade with long blonde hair and white dress decorated in gold.
Or: Rex and Mabon being friends. Until they aren't.
