“Maybe I’m not a typical mon-keigh then, hmm?” Fighting his grip, she leaned in just the tiniest bit closer. “After all, I know most humans wouldn’t draw such a personal fascination from a Drukhari of your status.” Barking a laugh, Marazhai released his grip and yanked his wrist away from her. From the way his face creased up, she knew it was from amusement and not him masking anger.
“Don’t flatter yourself. We will see whether or not you can back your words up with actions worthy of my attention soon enough.”

Or, the story of what happens when you slap a psyker tainted deeply by tendrils of the warp with a morbid fascination around pushing human anatomy to its limits with a Drukhari who revels in pain and knows about as much about torture as the psyker herself. What Raylia von Valancius does in her free time is close to heresy already, so adding some xenos fucking and bloody self indulgence to the wrap sheet certainly can't hurt, can it?

The Koronus Expanse is under attack from the forces of Chaos and needs every Chrysalis pilot to protect Humanity's interest. But does it really? What else is at play?

You whipped around, the dagger you kept under your pillow aimed at the owner of the voice. Astarion chuckled, hands raised to show he was unarmed. You sighed and dropped your weapon.
“A really bad dream, then, or are you always so quick on the draw?”
You stay quiet and wipe the sweat off your brow and upper lip. There was a stream nearby… but the thought of being alone out here at night terrified you. Sleeping out in the open with another vampire mere feet away was bad enough.
But there was nothing else you could do now to distract your mind. Her eyes, her smile were burned into the forefront of your mind, taunting you, beckoning you back to her.

Hey all- my first attempt at a fic in a loooooong time. I’ve been playing BG3 since early access so I’ve been an Astarion simp for years now.
This is going to be a slow burn. On the sweeter side, with some spice down the line. More like a short romance novel and less like a one shot. Which are the sort of things I like to read. Mostly writing this for myself- but heck I'd be thrilled if one other person read it!
This is written in the third person limited perspective and will switch back and forth between an original female character who awakens on the beach just after escaping the Nautiloid and later Astarion’s POV.
I highly recommend you play the game first, but will warn you this obviously contains spoilers for the plot. I hope to cover acts 1-3 all the way through to the end.

"The right moment," he finally said, pushing himself off the ground to stand.
Astarion clenched his fists a few times, the urge to reach out and touch the half-elf becoming overwhelming. Things had to change, he told himself. He needed to put distance between them, for both of their safety.
"I'm sorry. I-I need to clear my head," he stammered, before composing himself, "I'll see you later, I'm sure. Sleep tight."
“Before you go,” their voice was soft, somewhere between hurt and befuddled. “There is one talent I’d like to show you tonight, if you’ll indulge me.”
