Summary
After waking up in the hospital with only a single vague memory Dan (Cole) meets his fiance and future in-laws. He’s not sure why he’s terrified of his future father in-law, and why Hanzo is hesitant around him. Strange people tend to meet him around Japan. One thing that he does quickly realize is that while Hanzo’s feelings are genuine, Dan (Cole) is a prisoner of the clan.

Summary
Half story, half vent based on my life. Cole goes to his treatment appointment. If I decide to add more chapters I’ll change the summary and include another dark joke to cope with my own disorder.
I used the characters and fandom because it fit the best and had the most long term potential in my mind. In my dreams these are the two characters I latched onto in my mind as having the active disorder too.

Aang sorta dies, but doesn't, after he froze himself and the iceberg. The avatar cycle continued until Avatar Zuko was born. The prince learned a lot of waterbending, and most of earthbending, but hasn't learned any airbending yet. His friend Aang wants to teach him, but he still hasn't been able to make a single gust of wind.
In this fic we yeet the cannon story line out the window for more dark themes, narcissist parenting (both Ozai and Azulon are in my opinion), moral ambiguity, Zhao being more than a growling side character, and plot more confusing than an M Night Shyamalan movie (not including the awful movie of book 1, but more along the lines of the 6th sense).

“Left eye,” he touched a couple fingers under his eye. “I thought the burn was bad. Don’t get me wrong the pain was, and I can ignore the scar when I don’t look in the mirror…or ideally when nobody is around, but my vision is a constant reminder. I don’t see like how everyone else does…I’d prefer to not talk about it anymore.”

Elliott Witt is suffering the effects of having not connected to his soulmate yet as finding your soulmate (if you have one) once one becomes a teen is very important because either one of the soulmates can die from not forming the connection. He suspects that he knows who his soulmate is, but cannot reason it because all the medications he's on dulls his ability to perceive the emotions from his soulmate. Also the idea of a soulmate not wanting to make the connection is quite unfathomable to people because some lose their sanity and die from not being able to sleep, and others fall asleep and cannot wake up. Elliott is mostly resigned to the fact that he may never find his soulmate and that he'll likely never wake up because he doesn't wish any harm to his soulmate to free him from becoming 'sleeping beauty'
