It had been Crabbe's idea. Like him, it was stupid and crude, but effective all the same.
Two days ago, he'd boasted over breakfast about how easy it would be. "It doesn't block parchment, only bodies," he'd said, mouth full of toast and egg. Goyle had laughed.
"If it was that easy, what makes you think they wouldn't just write their own name? How can you be sure?"
Crabbe thought for a long time. He stopped chewing with the effort.
"I'll... write it down and follow 'em to the Goblet. Won't let 'em out of my sight."
"Please," Draco had interjected. She'd long finished breakfast and wanted to shut the conversation down quickly. "That's a fine way to get a month's detention. Someone will be watching the Goblet. If they see you skulking around, it'll raise suspicion."
"I can hide! I can be unsuspicious as anybody."
"You are the exact shape of a large thumb, and you'll stick out like one."
Goyle laughed so hard he shot beans out of his nose, which made Crabbe laugh for a minute straight- and the conversation was forgotten.
Well, not exactly forgotten.

(Semi-Canon Compliant Fic, flying by the seat of my pants. This is almost entirely a writing practice, but I loved the Fem Draco works I've seen on the internet and wanted to pitch my hat in. Idea's are constantly changing, and I will update the tags accordingly. I expect this to be a long fiction covering each year at Hogwarts and after, as I have a lot of ideas, but I will make mistakes in the timeline of some things, so please bare with me.

“Why do you want to get there so badly?” Caitlyn asks, looking at the other woman out of the corner of her eye as she wipes down her gun, trying not to show too much interest. Vi makes a grunting sound, still picking at her nails with the edge of her knife.
“None of your damn business.”
Caitlyn huffs. “I’m paying you, so I would certainly say it is my business.”
“You’re only paying me to lead you into a death trap, princess,” Vi says, putting her feet up on the desk and almost getting mud on Caitlyn’s rifle. “Bedtime stories will cost you extra.”
On a search for a historical myth, Caitlyn and Jayce hire a mercenary off death’s row that claims to have been to the site before. But Vi’s ulterior motives, and the growing attraction between her and Caitlyn, threatens the whole expedition.
